Adding Accents Using Transparent Adhesive Glitter Paper

Hello everyone! Hope your week is off to a great start! It’s TaeEun here today sharing a couple of cards featuring new products from March 2018 Flash Release : Heart Jigsaw Die (Stitched) and Daisy Close Up (3/4 view) Cling stamp. I also added glittery accents on my cards using Glossy Fine Transparent Adhesive Glitter paper.  This glitter paper with sticky back is transparent and super sparkly! Using this you can turn any paper into a glitter paper!!!

For my first card I cut a white cardstock on which I adhered Glossy Fine Transparent Adhesive Glitter paper using stitched version of Heart Jigsaw Die.

The stitched version of Heart Jigsaw Die cut only a piece of jigsaw puzzle while other pieces being stitched. The die cut also has a thin heart outline around the jigsaw. I did a watercolor wash in pink and silver and add splatters on some watercolor paper to create the background. I trimmed the panel slightly down and dry embossed it using Double Stitched Rectangle die to add some texture.

The sentiment is from Perfect Fit sentiments set. I stamped it in Noir on the background panel. I then started assembling the card by foam mounting the background panel on a pink cardbase. I adhered the heart outline on the panel and foam mounted the heart jigsaw and the small puzzle piece. The sparkle of the Glossy Fine Transparent Adhesive Glitter paper is so pretty!!!

For my second card I watercolored Daisy Close Up (3/4 view).

To start off I stamped the image on a watercolor paper in Vanilla Frosted Cupcake and watercolored it. After done coloring I cut three small circles using a small circle die from Bokeh Burst Round coordinating dies and hello using Bold General Greetings Word plate die from the colored panel. I then adhered Glossy Fine Transparent Adhesive Glitter paper on die cut elements and cut them again using the same dies. I cut green foam as well to raise the circles and the sentiment.

The colored panel was added flat on the cardbase and then the raised circles and sentiment were placed back onto the card. At that point I thought something is missing and decided to add a butterfly 🙂 !  I gold heat embossed a butterfly from Beautiful Butterflies 1, colored it using Spectrum Noir glitter pens, cut it using coordinating die and foam mounted the butterfly onto the card!

That’s it from me for today. If you want to see more about the Glossy FineTransparent Adhesive Glitter Paper, I’ve shared this card in January which is showing how to create multi-colored glittery background using Glossy FineTransparent Adhesive Glitter Paper.

Jigsaw Hearts & A Thank You

Hi peeps! How are y’all doing? Vera here today. Being in Texas I sure been enjoying the nice, spring weather. And, yes, with last Sunday time spring forward, all is well in my world. I love having more daylights. It makes me happy. And, my puppies enjoying it, too. They get to play on the backyard more.

Speaking about puppies…, I actually made 2 cards featuring puppies! I am a doggy lover at heart and when I saw the new Heart Jigsaw Dies (Stitched Version), I just know I want to mix it with Love & A Dog.

For this card, I first colored a cardstock panel with distress ink and flicked some water on it to create some pattern. Then I run the Heart Jigsaw dies over it and adhere to the card base. Then I stamped and die cut the dog and adhere to card with pop dots. Added a strip of patterned paper and stamped the sentiment from Perfect Fit Sentiment. Finished by adding Pink Sugar Sparkling Clear Sequin, Bermuda Blue Sequin and Glass Slipper Sequin.

On to the next card. This time I play with Heart Jigsaw Dies (Cut Version)  Same step, except this one I just colored the panel with one color. I feel like this second card has more modern feeling. Maybe because of the navy stripe on the bottom.

Now, since I was on a card making mode, I decided to switch direction & made a more serious looking card. Hah, whenever I do non cutesy or sweet card, I always call it serious looking card.

Besides dogs, I love birds. Well, really I love animal in general. Anyway, I wanted to play with The Ton Winter Cardinal  and its coordinating dies set? Well, I decided to color it with a bit more springy color. I added some shades to the bird with Copic and once I am happy with the coloring then I adhere the bird to the card base that I already covered with patterned paper.

I finished the card by stamping the thank you sentiment from Occasion Confetti set.

I know, I know, I am a bit all over the place with my cards for today’s post, but hey, that’s how I work. I just follow my gut and create however I feel. Even if the cards not related in theme, I still want to share it. 🙂

Well peeps, that’s all for today. 3 cards in 1 post is quite an achievement for me. Hope you enjoy the cards and thank you for stopping by here. Don’t forget we also have our March challenge going on and you have till the end of the month to play along. Check out the challenge detail and enter your project HERE.

Sending Watercolored LOVE

Hello everyone! Hope your week is off to a great start! It’s TaeEun here today sharing a couple of watercolor cards with you. I’m using our new products from February and March Flash Release along with floral stamps from the 3rd Anniversary Release.

For my first card I used the Cut version of Heart Jigsaw Die from March Flash Release. There is a stitched version too, which cuts only one puzzle piece. I used the Cut version ,  as I wanted to have the open piece of the heart puzzle on the large peony from Peony Bouquet. 🙂

TT0312 1 1 WM

I started off by stamping the Peony Bouquet in a watercolor friendly black ink on Canson XL watercolor paper. I watercolored the bouquet and background mainly in pink (Crimson lake and Bright Opera). I then stamped the sentiment from Perfect Fit Sentiments set in Noir on the panel and cut the bouquet using Cut version of Heart Jigsaw Die . I taped the pieces together on the back, took the thin heart outline and one puzzle piece off the panel and taped the panel on the front together using painter’s tape.

TT0312 1 CU3 WM

To add more interest I stamped the Minor Stripes in Cosmopolitan Pink Hybrid ink on the white cardbase. I covered the area where the missing puzzle piece would be placed with a piece of scrap paper so that it stays white.

The front panel held together with painter’s tape was then foam mounted onto the cardbase. I colored the thin heart outline die cut using a red sparkle marker, added Crystal Stickles on it and placed it back onto the front panel.

The missing piece from the heart was stacked on a pink foam and glued above the sentiment. To finish off I added some sequins from Pink Bokeh and Sakura Petals Couture Mix.

Now to my second card for today!

TT0312 2 2 new

I stamped the daisy and leaves from Fresh Cut Daisies Outlines in light ink, watercolored them and added details and shading using Polychromos colored pencils. I cut them with coordinating dies and set them aside.

TT0312 2 CU5 WM

To make the background I first created a watercolor wash in Payne’s gray and gold watercolor on the center of a panel. I then dry embossed the panel with 2 Piece Foliage Coverplate die. I die cut a piece of watercolor paper again using the same die to get the frame part and colored it in gold watercolor. I stacked the frame on three more die cut pieces from some white cardstock and glued it onto the background panel. The sentiment  in Noir is from Sweet Folk Hummingbird.

I foam mounted the background panel on the white cardbase and arranged the daisies as shown in the picture. I finished off the card by adding some Medallion Gold sequins.
