When I saw Suzy’s Blowing Butterflies stamp, I knew I needed to use it on our Haute Wedding Dress gal.  The dress is fairly billowy and provides a large enough canvas to insert many different designs.

I started off by creating my background panel. I stamped our Vogue Skyline in our Noir Dye Ink on the center of the panel. Then I blended some Cali Blue and Azurite Dye inks at the top and bottom edges of the panel.  I heat embossed the

Next, I went to work on that gorgeous dress! I stamped our Haute Wedding Dress on a separate card panel in our Noir Dye Ink. Then I gold heat embossed the bodice of the dress with.  Next I created a negative mask with our dress. I used the negative portion to mask the outer edges of the dress so that I could gold glitter heat emboss those beautiful butterflies within the dress.

After I embossed the butterflies, I carefully peeled off the negative mask and then spooned the gold glitter embossing powder over the butterfly stamped image. Then I melted all the powder with my heat gun. Next I colored in the dress and butterflies with zig markers.

After I finished coloring with my zig markers, I brushed on some clear Wink of Stella over the shaded areas of the dress to add some more sparkle.  Then I die cut our gal with the coordinating die.

Next I gold glitter heat embossed the fabulous Confidence is Sexy sentiment onto my blended card panel. Before I adhered the blended panel onto a side folding A2 card base, I added some stitching to the edges with our Double Stitched Rectangles die set.  Then I popped up my Haute Wedding Dress gal onto the panel and added some Dew Drops in both sizes to add some finishing touches to the card.

That’s it for my card for the day! Your next stop is the fabulous Ms. Suzy.  Make sure to leave a comment for a chance to win one of the giveaways mentioned above!

November Guest Designer: Stephanie Klauck

Hi everyone, it’s Stephanie here with a card to share using some of the amazing new stamps with the Haute Wedding Dress stamp set. I love the Haute Wedding Dress stamp set because there are so many fun ways to color and embellish the dress. I love thinking of fun new ways to dress it up to make it look unique every time. For today’s card I went way out of the box and coloured the dress with a galaxy design. 😉

I stamped the image on Strathmore Toned Gray paper and coloured it in with my Prismacolor colored pencils. I am having so much fun experimenting with my colored pencils and this dress is the perfect canvas. I love how how this dress turned out even though it is a little wild lol!

I stamped the Grand Stairway background onto a white cardstock panel with Versamark ink and then I heat embossed it with silver embossing powder. I trimmed it down so it would fit on the card base with a small border and then I adhered the stamped image on top. I wanted it to kind of look like she was coming down the stairs so I adhered it to the panel, letting it overlap the bottom left corner and then trimmed off the excess.

I stamped a sentiment from the City Girls: Retail Therapy stamp set onto white cardstock, trimmed it down and adhered it onto the card front. I then added the panel to a grey card base and finished it by adding clear sequins.

Thanks so much for joining me today on the blog! 😉

Video: Glittered Dresses and One Layer Roses

glitter dress

Hello, everyone!  I’m back today with a two cards and two videos!  For my first set of cards, I used our Haute Wedding Dress stamp set and a ton of glitter.  I am totally casing Ruby’s Anniversary Blog Hop cards where she made some pretty spectacular cards with this set using glitter.  I wanted to case her cards using our Adhesive Glitter Paper and some fine glitter dust.

I started off by stamping my 3 1/2 by 5 1/2 panel with the Haute Wedding Dress in Caviar Hybrid ink.  Then I stamped the dress onto some copy paper and then fussy cut the dress.  Next I used my cut-out dress as my guide when to cut out the dress shape using my silver glitter adhesive paper.  Next, I colored in my girl with some E00 and E79. After I finished my coloring, I adhered the silver dress over my stamped image on my panel.

Next, I die cut our Fabulous Word die on some heavy weight 110 pound black cardstock.  Next I adhered the die cut over our dress and stamped the simple Hello sentiment right over the die cut with our Noir Dye ink.  Next I trimmed our stamped panel about half of a 1/4 of an inch.  Then I trimmed a black strip of cardstock and adhered this onto our top folding 3 1/2 by 5 1/2 cardbase.  I adhered a thin strip of silver glitter tape partially over the black strip on our cardbase. Lastly, I adhered the stamped panel onto the cardbase to finish off the card!

I created the same card using each of the colors that our Glitter Paper comes in – Blue, Purple, Red, Gold and Silver.  Our Glitter Paper also comes in a convenient Mixed pack if you want to sample the different colors.

I show you how I made this glitter dress card in the same video. Again, this fabulous card was inspired by the talented Ruby!  I used the same cut out dress guide that I made for the above cards to cut out the dress shape of a double sided Scor Tape sheet.  I had a colored stamped panel of the dress and adhered the adhesive onto the stamped image.  After I spooned on some of the fine glitter, I placed the panel in between a folded piece of copy paper.  Then I burnished the glitter into the adhesive really well with my bone folder. Then I proceeded to make the same card as the above cards!

For my second card and video for the day, I used our Fresh Cut Roses layering stamp set.  Instead of layering the stamps together, I used individual layers to create a simple and quick card.

I started off with a 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 A2 card panel.  I stamped our panel with the rose stamp with our Grand Fuchsia Dye ink (any of the first layers of roses from this set will do for these cards).  Next I created a mask for the rose using some copy paper and adhesive.  I adhered the mask onto our stamped panel and proceeded to stamp the individual leaf stamps over the mask using our Hot Tourmaline Dye ink.  Next I stamped the sentiment from the same set with our Noir Dye ink.

Next, I used put down some pink glitter tape on the sides of my A2 side folding cardbase.  Lastly, I trimmed my stamped panel about a 1/4 inch on each side and adhered the panel onto the cardbase.

I mass produced the same design and used all the different rolls of glitter and foil tapes from our Sampler Packs.  These card were super simple and fun to make.  The first layer (most solid) stamps in our Fresh Cut Roses set have some negative space in them so it already has a built in, extra layer!  So although it is a layering set, our Fresh Cut Roses do not have to be layered to get a gorgeous floral layout.

That’s all for today!  Thanks for stopping by and watching my videos!  We have a special post for you coming on Saturday so make sure you stop by this weekend!
