Fountain Terrace

Hello and happy Tuesday everyone! Hope your week has started well! It’s TaeEun here today. I’m sharing two cards with you which I made with the focus on the Scenes: Fountain Terrace cling stamp.

I made two almost-one-layer cards with the Scenes: Fountain Terrace. On my first card I created a poppy field in a park using Fresh Cut Poppies outline. And on the second card I water colored the scene as my main image. I chose the sentiment from Beautiful Day Bicycle, just the right sentiment for the scene of a peaceful park.

To start off my first card I stamped and colored the poppy field first. I stamped the poppies in Coralline hybrid and the leaves in Soft Garden along with masking when needed. I then colored the image with Copic markers and added some shine on the poppies using a clear glitter pen. The Scenes: Fountain Terrace was stamped in Crystal Pewter after masking the poppy field. I added the sentiment from  Beautiful Day Bicycle in Noir. I glued the panel on a black card base, a thin part of it showing on the left edge. I finished off by adding some sequins from Valentine Frosting, Elf Stockings Couture Mix and Glass Slippers sequins mix.

For the second card I stamped the Scenes: Fountain Terrace on a mixed media paper using Aqua markers in brown and in green on the trees. I colored the scene using Zig brush markers. I drew some clouds in the sky. I then die cut the panel with Double Stitched Rectangle dies. I used the biggest die, but as I wanted to make the panel slightly smaller than A2, I cut it once again after shifting the die slightly to one corner. You can use our Double Stitched Rectangle small die set which contains in-between sizes. The sentiment was stamped in ombre using True Navy and Ocean Teal. I foam mounted the panel on a navy card base. I liked this as is, so left it without any embellishment.

Mirror Image Event with So Suzy Stamps

Hello everyone! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far! It’s TaeEun here today to share a card with you I made as a part of our February event: Mirror Image Event with So Suzy Stamps and My Sweet Petunia.

There is a list with links to everyone’s post on the So Suzy Stamps blog so you can come back and see the inspiration on a daily basis. You can get more information about this event and about the prizes on the So Suzy Stamps blog as well. We will also be sharing the cards on Facebook and Instagram, just in case you miss a blog post.

This is the fourth post on The Ton blog about mirror stamping, so I guess you know already how the Mirror Image Stamp works. But If it is the first time for you, you can watch a video tutorial here.

Let’s take a look at my card!

I chose the lady from our Born Classy stamp set for my mirror image. I stamped the original image on the right side of a gray panel in Peach Blossom and stamped the mirror image on the left side slightly higher. I then colored both with Prismacolor colored pencils and added gray shade around the ladies using Copic markers. For a dreamy look I made bokeh background by stamping solid circles from Bokeh Burst Round using Hampton white pigment ink. I set the panel aside to dry, then stamped poppies and leaves from Fresh Cut Poppies Outlines on some vellum in embossing ink and heat embossed them in white. I colored the poppies and leaves using Tombow markers on the back of the vellum and fussy cut them all. After the white pigment ink on the gray panel was dry I mounted it on the black card base with foam adhesive and arranged the vellum poppies on it as shown in picture. I added black glitter tape to the top and bottom of the colored panel.

I borrowed the wavy sentiment from City Girls Special day stamp set. I gold heat embossed the sentiment and added the tiny JUST FOR YOU from the same set in Grand Fuchsia. To finish off the card I added sequins from Glass Slippers and Purple Ballgown Couture Mix.

This could be a birthday card or congratulations card for a girl. That’s it from me today! I hope you enjoyed my card and give the mirror image a try!

Guest Designer: Isha Gupta

Hello everyone. It’s Isha again! I am honored to be a guest designer for The Ton this month and I totally enjoyed creating with their stamps. Well!! As all good things come to an end, today is my last post here but you will be seeing more creations by me using these amazing designs. Thank you Effie for inviting me over.

For today, I used the “Fresh Cut Poppies, Thoughtful Poppies and Freestyle Stripes Cling Background” stamps from the new release. Did you check the 2017 Anniversary release yet? It’s awesome and there are lots of various styles to choose from.

guest_day3_clI went with some watercolor using distress ink using the layered flowers and leaves. It’s so much fun and I love the result. All the layers give a perfect dimension to the flowers and leaves. To create the subtle tone on tone background, I stamped the Stripes background onto a Gray cardstock using similar color of ink.

Hope you got inspired. Happy crafting!
