You are fabulous! (Haute Stacks)

Hello, everyone! It’s Jenny here taking over the blog today. Hope you are having a wonderful week! I would love to share a beautiful shaker card I created using our Haute Stacks stamp set, “fabulous” word die, lots of gorgeous sequins, gold foil adhesive paper, and glitter tape!

Here is the card!

  • I started the card by stamping  the larger haute stack image in our Noir Dye ink on a A2 sized Arches cold press watercolor paper.  I colored the image and the background with Peerless Watercolors (Lip Smackin’ Pink, Bubble Gum, Blush Rose Pink, and Mixed Berry) and distress inks (Victorian Velvet and Tattered Rose). I also splattered Gansai Tambi Starry Colors (Champagne gold and White gold) and let it dry completely.
  • I layer stamped the peony and leaves images using The Ton Couture Color inks. The colors I used are: Orchid Collection, Peony Collection, and Ruby Collection for the peonies. I used Crystal Garden Collection for the leaves. The 3 different shades in each of these fabulous Ink collections go so well together! After layer stamping all the peonies and the leaves, I fussy cut them out.
  • I die cut a black frame and adhered rose color glitter tape from our sample pack all to add some sparkle! I love our glitter tapes and you can see I use them quite often on my projects. I adhered acetate and foam tape on the back to turn the frame into a shaker frame.
  • I filled the shaker frame with Rose Gold Mirror Ball Couture Mix, Burnt Caramel sequins, Creamy Toffee sequins, Cabernet sequins, Dulce sequins, Glass Slippers sequins, and Pink Petal Flora sequins. I think they are so lovely mixed all together! I closed up the shaker with the haute stack watercolored panel and adhered the shaker on a black card base.
  • I die cut the word “fabulous” on our Matte Gold Adhesive Foil paper. I removed the backing and adhered it on the middle of the card. Using the adhesive paper makes it so much easier to adhere delicate word dies on the projects!
  • I adhered the layer stamped peonies and the leaves on 2 corners of the card. On the top left corner, I also added gold embroidery thread and the sentiment from our Basic Labels. I finished the card off by adding some sequins.

Lush Blooms

Hello Flower Fans of The Ton!   It’s LauraJane sharing a card featuring the beautiful Cherry Blossom Garden Cling Background.

IMG_0940

  • I stated out with white A2 sized CS and stamped the Cherry Blossom Garden Cling Background in Orchid Crush .
  • Then I started coloring the solid blooms and leaves with Ziggys.
  • I chose to outline just a  few of the other blooms.
  • Next I ran the colored panel through the BigKick with two layers of the Double Stitched Rectangle Dies.
  • The outer “frame” potion got a quick inking of Copic N3; being careful to leave the select outlined blooms white.
  • The smaller inside panel was colored in with Copic N1 throughout the remaining negative space; again being careful not to color the outlined blooms.
  • I then popped the panel up with fun foam and wrapped some gold thread around the lower portion and glued both the frame and panel to a cardbase..
  • Three layers of Fabulous Word Die were glued and stacked on top of each other, then adhered to the card front.
  • for the small sentiment, I stamped YOU ARE, from Basic Labels in Orchid Crush ; fussy cut and stuck it on the panel after layering a few smaller pieces of paper to give it a raised look.

Coloring the background was so much FUN. The various bloom sizes/shapes, solid and outlined make the Cherry Blossom Garden Cling Background a stamp of endless possibilities:))

Hope you have a Creative day!

Video: Ombre Fabulous Day

fabulous day.jpg

Hey, everyone! I’m back with a glittery card and video today created with our Bokeh Burst Star stamp set.

I started off by heat embossing the star stamp with some gold glitter embossing powder on an A2 sized panel.  Then I cut out the white area inside the star with my craft knife.  Next I took a side folding cardbase and blended the ombre background using our Red Sangria Hybrid, Coralline Hybrid and Beach Blondie Dye inks.  I clear heat embossed the ombre background to give it a bit of shine.

Next I die cut the Fabulous sentiment on some Glossy Fine Gold Adhesive Paper and black cardstock.  I layered the two together with the glitter paper over the black but I made sure to offset the die cuts so that the black would show a bit under the gold.  Then I adhered the Fabulous word die over the star window.

To finish the sentiment, I stamped the Have A and Day (from our Basic Labels) on separate cardstock with our Noir Dye Ink.  After I stamped them, I clear heat embossed them as well to give it a similar shine as my ombre background.  Next, I fussy cut the labels and popped them up onto my star panel.

Then I adhered two strips of the Glossy Fine Gold Adhesive Paper onto the edges of my cardbase.  Next, I popped up my star panel onto the base with some additional foam tape. Lastly, I added some shiny Glossy Black Sequins to finish off the card.

I love the ombre look  behind that bokeh burst!  I had this design on my mind for a while now.  This particular design was easiest to execute with the Bokeh Star stamp than the Bokeh Round or Heart sets.

I hope you liked today’s card and video!  I’ll see you next time!
