Winter Wishes

Hello everyone! Hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend! It’s TaeEun here today with a winter wish slimline card. I made it using some of our winter themed die sets!

To create a wintery scene I made a watercolored background panel first. I did watercolor wash on a slimline sized mixed media paper panel in green, indigo, blue violet and blue. I left the bottom quarter of the panel uncolored which represents a snow covered hill. I sprayed pearl water on the panel to add some shimmer to it. After the panel was dry I splattered clear water to add some texture.

I cut the finished background panel using the Slimline Dot coverplate die and adhered it on a white slimline cardbase.

Next I cut a few pine trees and deers from some watercolor paper using Pine Tree Cover die and Deer Cover die. I arranged some pine trees on the snowy hill of my card and added three deers which I watercolored in brown.

The sentiment is from Wonderland Print stamp set. I finished off the card with a few Glass Slippers Round Confetti!

That’s it from me today! Hope you like my wintery scenic slimline card!

Enjoy the last days of 2021! Wishing you all the best for the New Year!

Warm Winter Wishes

Hi crafty friends! Hope you’re having a great week! It’s TaeEun here today with a holiday card in a clean look. I used some of our holiday items from this year and matched them with wintery holiday dies from last year.

I made a colorful snow globe and placed it on a white card as a focal element.  Let’s take a look 🙂 !

I started by stamping a corner of the Jolly Border image in Caviar hybrid ink on a piece of watercolor paper. I stamped it again in an embossing ink and clear heat embossed the image. I then watercolored the poinsettia cluster and the background and let it dry.

I cut two small pine trees using the Pine Tree cover die from some watercolor paper and colored them in green which I also used to color the background of my watercolored panel. I splattered white opaque ink on the poinsettia cluster panel and on the trees and set them aside to dry.

To make the snow globe I cut the watercolored panel using the outline die of the Round Snow Globe die set. I cut the frame of the globe from some warm gray and white cardstock and stacked them together. I also cut the base of the globe from the same warm gray cardstock.

Next I cut the Festive Folk coverplate from white cardstock and adhered it on a white cardbase. I left the small die cut elements in their places as some texture in the background.  I then assembled the Round Snow Globe on the right side of the card. I added the pine trees to the globe, one of them using foam tape and placed a white deer in front of the trees which was cut using the Deer Coverplate die. The sentiment from Styled Christmas Sentiments set was heat embossed in gold and cut using the coordinating die. After I foam mounted the sentiment I added four Medallion Gold sequins to finish off my card.

That’s it from me today. Using various holiday die sets you can easily add festive feel to your card !

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed looking my card 🙂 !

Have a crafty day!

Twist & Pop Holiday Card

Hello everyone!  Hope you’re all doing well!  It’s TaeEun here today with a twist & pop holiday card. I used our new dies to create my scene.

Let’s start with the card front.

I started off by creating the background. I colored a watercolor paper panel in purple teal, blue and a bit of black using Gansai Tambi watercolor. After the panel was dry I splattered white opaque ink all over the panel. The snow covered hills was fussy cut from some white cardstock. I ink blended a bit of Cali blue on the hills to show the shadow.

I cut the pine trees using the Pine Tree coverplate die and stamped them with the Mini Pine Tree stamp in Caribbean Turquoise. I adhered the background panel on a white cardbase. And added the hills and pine trees on it using some foam tape. Crystal Stickles was added to make the hills and trees sparkle. The sentiment is from Easy Expressions Holiday stamp set. I added the Santa’s Sleigh on the teal part of the sky and one red rhinestone on the Rudolph’s nose.

I cut the base part of the Twist & Pop mechanism from heavyweight white cardstock and adhered it in the inside of the card.  The pop-up panel was cut from a watercolored panel which I colored in the same colors like the front panel.  I splattered white ink on it and white heat embossed the sentiment from Mini Pine Tree stamp set. I cut the hills,  Pine Trees and Deers from some white cardstock. I ink blended the deers in Warm Hazelnut. I created the scene by adhering the elements as shown in the picture.

This was my second twist & pop card. I shared another twist and pop holiday card for the latest release on my blog. I don’t make interactive cards that often but it was fun to make the twist and pop cards 🙂 ! Below is a short video showing the cards in action!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you enjoyed looking my cards!

Let it Snow

Hello everyone! Hope you’re having a nice week so far! It’s TaeEun here today with a fun shaker card featuring Dome Snow Globe dies, Deer Coverplate die and Pine Tree coverplate die from our October Release.

I turned the Dome Snow Globe into a shaker card 🙂 !

I started off by making the snow globe. I made an alcohol inked panel in blue, light brown and green to represent the sky and the forest as background. I splattered Snow Cap Mixative on it for a snowy scene. I colored an area of the panel in dark green and heat embossed random lines on it in gold and white and cut the pine trees using Pine Tree coverplate die from it.

The white hill was cut using a large Double Pierced Oval Nested die and the deers using the Deer Coverplate die from some white cardstock.

I cut a white textured paper with a Double Pierced Rectangle die and made a window with the Dome Snow Globe die. I adhered a clear acetate sheet on the back of the panel and the frame for the snow globe cut from a beige cardstock on the front of the panel. I cut the base for the snow globe from the same beige cardstock and stamped a woodgrain pattern from Buildable Woodgrain stamp set on it in Warm Hazelnut on it.

I then assembled the shaker together. I adhered the alcohol inked background on a white cardbase and added the hill, the pine trees and the deer to it using some foam tape. I used Misty Mint Couture Mix as shaker element and foam mounted the front panel with the window on it.

The sentiment is from Poinsettia Wishes stamp set. I first cut the shadow layer for the sentiment using the Many Sentiments Holiday die set which matches with the large scripty sentiments from Poinsettia Wishes stamp set! I gold heat embossed the sentiment on the shadow die cut and added it to the card with a strip of a green glitter tape.

That’s it from me today! Hope I was able to inspire you with my card!

Wishing you all a crafty day!

Hugs,

TaeEun
