Daisy Duet

Hello! Hope your week is off to a great start! It’s TaeEun here sharing a daisy congratulations card.

For my card I used the new Daisy Duet stencils from the Fall / Holiday 2022 Release combining it with the coordinating die of the Daisy Duet stamp set.

To start I stenciled the Daisy Duet directly on a white cardbase in pink and gray. For the daisies I used the Whisper Pink, Bubblegum, Dolled Up and Deep Peony. The center of the flowers were stenciled in Amber Citrine, Warm Hazelnut and Found Topaz and for the leaves I used Stormy Sea and added a bit of Periwinkle on the base of the leaves.

After I was done with stenciling I placed the coordinating die on the stenciled image, held an A2 sized beige cardsock panel underneath the cardbase, taped the die and the beige panel together and pulled out the cardbase with the stenciled image. So I could align the die on the beige panel with the stenciled image of the cardbase.

After die cutting I dry embossed the negative die cut pieces using the Convention coverplate die for some dimension and foam mounted them on the card.

I white heat embossed the sentiment from the Daisy Duet stamp set on some black cardstock, cut it into a banner and added it to the card. I finished off the card with a few Glass Slippers sequins.

That’s it from me! Hope you like how I made my card. I think it is a fun way to add colors and texture to the background!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Daisy Trio

Hello there! Hope your week is off to a great start!  It’s TaeEun here today with three cards featuring Coming Up Daisies and Daisy Duet set from our third anniversary release.

On my first card I inlaid die cut Coming Up Daisies into a dreamy coral – aqua panel.

To start off I created the background panel by blending Soft Garnet, Cali Blue and Cobalt Breeze on a A2 sized white cardstock. I then adhered Adhesive Glitter Paper Glossy Fine Transparent on it. I love this paper. As it is transparent you can create your own glitter papers! The Coming Up Daisies image was white heat embossed on some Bristol smooth paper and colored using Zig markers. I cut it with the coordinating die. After I decided how it should be placed, I cut out the image shape from the background panel to inlay the floral image. I die cut hello word using Bold General Greeting Word Plate Dies from the background panel. I cut the hello sentiment again from a pink fun foam to raise the die cut sentiment from the background panel. I then assembled the card on a white cardbase. To finish off I added a few Clear Dew Drops.

On the second card I did some no-line watercoloring.

TT0129 2 2 WM

I stamped Daisy Duet on a watercolor paper panel in a light ink and added one more daisy after masking the first stamped image. I then watercolored the flowers and the background. The sentiment is from Peony Notes set. Lovely was heat embossed in Rose Gold and the small sentiments were stamped in Crystal Pewter. I cut the panel using Double Stitched Rectangle die and glued it on a gray cardbase.  Finishing touch was some sequins from Pink Bokeh Couture Mix.

On the next card I experimented with a coloring medium which I don’t use that often: Acrylic paint :).

TT0129 3 3 WM

I started off the card by stamping Daisy Duet on a Mixed media paper panel in Crystal Pewter and coloring it with acrylic paints. I die cut the upper part of the image using coordinating die. I then prepared a pink cardbase. I blended Hampton White pigment ink on the front of the cardbase and added some bokeh using circle stencil.

I adhered the daisies flat on the cardbase. I cut happy using Bold General Greeting Word Plate Dies from a white cardstock on which I adhered Adhesive Glitter Paper Glossy Fine Transparent and foam mounted it onto the card. I borrowed “Birthday” from Peony Notes set and stamped it in Smoky Quartz. I finished off the card by adding some Glass Slippers round confetti sequins.
