Christmas Cards

Hi all! How’s it going? Vera here today bringing you some fun ideas as we get ready for the weekend.

I am trying to build up my Christmas cards stash, so for today I am sharing a couple of them. First up is this card I made using Dome Snow Globe die and my favorite the Deer Cover die.


For the frame I used the Scalloped A2 Nested die and adhere it directly to the card base. Next I cut the dome background from Yupo paper and sprinkle it with some alcohol inks and gold foil. Then I die cut the other part of the snowglobe from regular cardstock and inked it up with Spiced Chai & Found Topaz. Put them all together. Finished by adding some enamel drop and adding the sentiment. For the sentiment I used Easy Expressions Holiday stamped in Caviar and Bright Fern.

Now, for my second card, I decided to do slimline card using Candy Cane Stripes Coverplate die.


Once I die cut the background, I adhere it to the card base and then stamped the leaves from Cascade Bits set with Soft Garden, Bright Fern, Hot Tourmaline & Basil Mojito. Die cut them using the coordinating die. And, I paired this design with the Merry Christmas Sentiment die.


Play around with the leaves arrangement and adhere some of the leaves flat to the card and some with foam adhesive. I always like to add dimension to my card.

Poinsettia Holiday Love

Hi peeps. Look at that. We are at the end of August. 4 months away from Christmas. So, I think it’s safe to say we can go ahead and work on our Christmas card stash. Especially when you have gorgeous set to work with.

For today, I am playing with The Ton beautiful Poinsettia Wreath set.

I started by stamping the wreath off center on a piece of watercolor paper and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I went to town and watercolor the wreath. This card is my first attempt in watercolor using Tombow marker and I have to say I love the result.

Once it dry, I stamped the sentiment from an oldie but goodie Holiday Love Poinsettia set. I think the classy  look of this sentiment is the perfect match for the elegant poinsettia. And, of course, I just had to add a little birdie from one of my all time favorite set Nesting Peony. Finished by adding some Pixie Pink Sparkling clear sequins.

Coloring this makes me fall in love with watercolor all over again. Cross fingers that on this long weekend I get time to play and do some watercoloring.

Christmas Poinsettia

Hi peeps! Vera here today. Only 6 more days till Christmas! And, yes, yours truly is still working on her Christmas cards. Hah… I am a firm believer in that better late than never in this case.  😉

Anyway, for today, I decided to play with the beautiful Coming Up Poinsettia set.

I ink up the gradient background by using masking tape to cover the border. Once that done, I stamped, heat embossed the poinsettia with Rose Gold embossing powder on a piece of watercolor cardstock. Then I went to town watercolor this beauty. Let dry.

Now, when I am stress out sometime I feel the need to do fussy cutting and that’s what I did here. I don’t know what is it about fussy cutting that help me in calming down my stress or frustration. It’s like cheap therapy. Hah!!

Once that done, I layer the panel on dark green cardstock and adhere the poinsettia with foam adhesive. Follow by stamping the Merry Christmas sentiment from Good Tidings Cluster set on a strip of cardstock and again adhere to the card with foam adhesive. I just like layering this way. Finish by adding some mix size dew drops.

This color combo not quite the standard Christmas color, but  not too far off, either in my opinion. Ahh, the beauty of art and crafting,right? You can use whatever colors that make you happy. Try out new combo, just have fun!

Cheerful Holiday Season

Hi peeps! Vera here. Usually Thanksgiving morning is not too hectic in our household,  so I’ll most likely be spending it crafting. For me, Thanksgiving kind of mark the day that I better get my Christmas card making in high gear. With that in mind (since I am behind), today I make a fun shaker Christmas card using the fabulous Wonderland Print sets to get my pile going.

Seriously, if you’re doing a one layer card for mass production, this is the set. You can literally complete a bunch of card with this set in just an hour. However for today’s post I want to make shaker card since I haven’t done one for a while.

I started by stamping the poinsettia frame using Hollywood Star, Soft Garden and Bright Fern. Then I die cut it using the matching Wonderland Print dies. Before I adhere the acetate, I lightly marked the opening area with pencil on a piece of white cardstock.

Trim the white cardstock slightly smaller than the frame and adhere it to the card base. Next, stamp the flamingo from Darling Flamingos set & die cut it. Since this set is not really for Christmas, I decided to free hand draw the Santa’s hat, color it with Copic, trim it and add it to the flamingo. Before adhering it to the panel, I kind of estimate where it’s going to go to make sure there’s enough space for the sentiment. To be safe, I stamped the sentiment (from Coming Up Poinsettias set) & then adhere the flamingo.

Add a piece of acetate to the back of the frame and then add foam tape all around. Carefully sprinkle the gorgeous Frosted Spearmint Couture Mix to the center of the card and then laid the frame on top of it and that’s it!

I think opening a shaker card gives you an extra delight, don’t  you think? Well peeps, you probably have tons of activity going on for today, so that’s all from me today. Quick and Easy Holiday Cards

Hello everyone! I’m back with several card videos today featuring quick and easy holiday cards using some of our new stamps from this season. A few of the cards were featured in our recent releases. However, they’re accompanied by videos today(YAY!!)! Be sure to follow us on YouTube for more inspiration! I update our channel on a weekly basis!

Poinsettia Banner on Kraft

For my first card, I used our Poinsettia Banner stamp set.

I started off by stamping the Poinsettia Banner image and sentiment onto white cardstock using our Noir Dye Ink. Then I colored in the poinsettias, foliage and banner with Tombow Dual Tip markers (#885, 296, 133 and 95). Once I finished coloring, I die cut the image using the coordinating die.

Next I took an A2 kraft card panel and swiped some Warm Hazelnut Dye Ink across the entire card front. Then I added stitching to the panel using the two larges dies from our Double Stitched Rectangles (Large) Die set. I adhered the panel onto a side folding cardbase and then popped up my main image onto the panel. Lastly, I embellished the card using our Clear Dew Drops.

Holly Branch Border Card

For my next card I created a festive border using our Holly Branch set.

I stamped the outline holly branch in a border pattern onto an A2 card panel using our Noir Dye Ink. Then I stamped the solid images within the outline image using the outline image as a guide to easily add stamped color onto the holly clusters. The inks that I used to stamp the clusters are Soft Garden Dye, Valentine Red Dye and Warm Hazelnut Dye Inks. Next I stamped the sentiment from the same set in our Noir Dye Ink.

I created a top folding card base and added Yellow Gold Burnished Foil Tape to the top and bottom edges. Next I trimmed my stamped panel at the top and bottom edges and mounted it onto my base. Lastly I embellished my card using our Clear Dew Drops.

Two Folk Art Christmas Tree Cards

For my blue Folk Art Christmas Tree card, I started off by stamping the large tree image onto white cardstock (A2 size) with our True Navy Dye Ink. Then I embossed the image with clear embossing powder. Next I sponged on different shades of ink (Cali Blue Dye, Miami Cool Dye, Italian Denim Dye and Grape Crush Dye) onto the white areas surrounding my tree. Then I added stitching to the edges of the panel using the largest die from our Double Stitched (Large) Rectangles die set. Lastly, I mounted the panel onto a side folding base.

For my red Folk Art Christmas Tree card, I white heat embossed the tree onto a red card panel. Then I clear heat embossed some of the small elements in the areas surrounding the tree. Once my embossing was complete, I added stitching to the edges of my card and mounted the panel onto a side folding A2 cardbase.

So that completes my holiday card post featuring four quick and easy cards that you can make last minute if needed. Thanks for stopping by and happy holidays, everyone!!
