Anemones & Butterfly

Hi peeps. How’s it going? Vera here today and I have a couple fun cards to share.

First up is a card I made using Trio Anemone Cluster Layering Dies.

For this card, I started by die-cutting all the Anemone layers from watercolor cardstock, except for the top layer, which I cut from black cardstock. Then, I watercolor the two bottom layer with different intensity and let them dry. Once dry, adhere all the pieces together and put aside.

Next, I work on the background. I watercolor the background, let dry and stamp the Peony Terrace Background with Blue Diamond ink pad.

Before adhering the background panel to the card base, I added a wide strip of black cardstock behind it. Then arrange all the flowers and adhere with foam adhesive. For the sentiment I stamped and heat embossed sentiment from Modern Labels.

Somehow at the end, I feel like the card have that old school look. Maybe because of the color combo that I used? Or maybe it just my imagination. Hah!!

Since I was in the mood of creating, I ended up making another card. This time using my favorite dies, the Monarch Butterfly dies.

Well, since I was in the mood to create, I ended up making another card. This time using my favorite, the Monarch Butterfly Coverplate dies.

I simply did alcohol ink on yupo paper for the background and while it still kind of wet, I laid gold foil paper on it. If you check my Instagram post, I had a little clip showing the shiny foil. I then laid the framed butterfly on top of it. For the sentiment, I used an upcoming alphabet dies that coming soon. I can tell you, I am in love with this dies set. I know, it such a tease, but trust me, it will be worth the wait!!

Well peeps, that’s all from me today. I hope you enjoy today’s inspirations and may your weekend starts off wonderfully! Cheers….

Trio Lily Birthday Wishes

Hi all! Vera here today showcasing more layering die cut idea.

Today, I am playing with the lovely Lily Trio Layering Coverplate Dies.

For this card, I started by die cutting all the 4 layers from white cardstock. Then I inked blend Orchid Crush & Grand Fuschia to the layers. I only used 2 colors for the bottom 3 layers. Simply by varying the pressure and intensity of the color I can get 3 different shade.

I was debating on what color background I want to use. I tried several different colored cardstock and just not quite happy with any of them, so I decided to do a watercolor background. Can’t go wrong with watercolor in my book. 🙂

Once it dry, simply adhere the layered lilies on top of it and adhere everything to the card base. For the sentiment, I used sentiment from Easy Expressions from my stash. I love how handy this sets are. From just doing it once, I can have lots of extra sentiments ready to use.

Lily is definitely one of my favorite flower to play with. They’re so fun to color and simply so pretty. I’ll be playing with more variation of colors for sure. Now, if only I have more time in the day. Hah!

Well peeps, that’s all from me today. Hope you enjoy today’s card and may your week be a good one. Cheers….

Hummingbird & Garden Foliage

Hi peeps! How’s it going? Vera here today and I am bringing you more digital cut inspirations as I am still obsess with The Ton digital cuts collection.

Let’s get on with the card, shall we?

IMG2889
For this card, I used Basic Roses SVG Cut File on my Brother Scan ‘n Cut. Before removing the cut out, I inked it up with some distress oxides. Once I am happy with the result, I remove the cut out and instead of using the line part, I used the inner part and used the line part as guidelines to glue down the parts.

Then, I worked on one of my favorite cut file, the Hummingbird Layering. For this one, I went all sparkly by using glitter paper for all the parts of the hummingbird. And, I love, love, love the way the hummingbird turned out.

For the eye, I dab black enamel accent and I feel this little detail do make a difference. Finished the card by adding birthday sentiment from Happy Florals set.

As I mentioned earlier, I am a bit obsessed with all the cool digital cut files that Effie been created, that for today I ended having 2 cards instead of just 1. Yay!!

Now, for my next card, I make it even more fun by making a shaker card.

IMG2883
For this one, I cut out the Garden Foliage Coverplate, colored it with various ink pads and then adhere it to a piece of acetate that I cut just slightly smaller than the foliage frame. Then I mix various color sequins from The Ton sequin collection and adhere the foliage frame over the mix. Finished the card by simply stamping the sentiment on a strip of cardstock.

I hope you enjoy today’s cards as much as I enjoy making them. And, I actually finished another sparkly hummingbird, but I still need to create a card for it.

That’s all for me today peep. May your weekend starts off wonderfully. Cheers….

Unicorn & Daisy

Hi there! Happy Thursday everyone. Vera here and I am bringing you some springy inspiration.

When I saw the Lavish Donuts and Unicorns bundle, I literally gasp with delight. I think it’s one of the coolest  set ever. It’s o fun playing with this bundle!!

Here’s my 1st card for today using the bundle.

IMG_2736
I stamped and heat embossed the ears with rose gold embossing powder on a cardstock panel. Then I stamped the flower wreath  and adhere it to the panel with pop-dots. Once that done, I stamped the eyes and stamp and heat embossed the horn with gold embossing powder. Adhere the whole panel to the card base.

I don’t want to put a big sentiment that could distract from the unicorn face, so I chose a simple sentiment from Anemone Bouquet set. At first, I was going to leave the card the way it is, but then I thought it looks a bit plain. And, unicorn cannot be plain, right? So, I added a little pink blush for the cheek and add some shimmer to it and to the eyelash. Hope you could see it on the close up picture.

Next, I play with the new Daisy (3/4 View) Close Up. I love daisies. For my wedding, which by the way, the day before we just celebrated our 10th anniversary, I had a daisy bouquet. It was perfect for our tropical wedding at Playa Del Carmen.

IMG_2502
I stamped and heat embossed the daisy with rose gold embossing powder on a piece of watercolor cardstock. I love the way this card turned out. It’s totally make me think of spring and bright sunshine. Finished by stamping a sentiment from Dearest Peony set on a strip of cardstock and adhere to the card with pop-dots.

Now, this last card I have shared on my Instagram before. But, in case you missed it, I thought I should post it here as well. If you’re interested, you can follow me on Instagram: Wirianta.

Well, what do you think? I hope you enjoy today’s cards and I hope my cards brighten your day and make you think of happy thought. Have a blessed Thursday everyone. Cheers….

Blooming Riotous Birthdays

Hi peeps! How’s it going? Vera here today. So. how do you like our anniversary release? What’s your must have? I am sure many of you already have some of the sets in your hand already.

I don’t know about you, but for me, pretty new sets can really get my mojo going. That and combine with my excitement of trying out new stuff, I’ve been having lots of fun creating.

I made a couple of cards today. This happened by accident as I don’t like being wasteful. Hah! Let’s start with the 1st card.
IMG_1870
I started by creating the background using alcohol ink. I dropped various color of alcohol ink on yupo paper, let it dry and then stamped the Riotous Wildflower stamp and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

Once that done, I line up the “happy” and “birthday” dies from Bold General Greeting Words set. Trim the panel and adhere to the card base. Easy peasy. Now, I could just stop there, but since I have these pretty happy  birthday letters from the first cut, I just had to use them and make a second card.

IMG_1871
With the letters being so colorful, I don’t want to add much of anything else on the card. The white background help make the letters stand out. Then I simply added some Morning Dew NuvoDrops for simple embellishment.

I am a bit obsessed playing with alcohol ink at the moment and let  me just say, many of The Ton stamps works beautifully with this technique. Pretty sure I’ll be sharing more cards using this in the future.

Well peeps, hope you enjoy today’s cards. Stay tune,we have new challenge coming up on Feb. 1 and I hope you will join us and play along . Till next time. Cheers….
