Climbing Iris Stenciled Birthday Card

Hello, friends and happy Friday!! I hope you’ve had a great week and have some crafty plans this weekend!!

I’m stocking up on birthday cards for the year and today’s card features the Climbing Iris Stencil Set! I like to Google Image photos of flowers and choose a color combo that really jumps out at me and I thought the blue irises were just beautiful!!

I began by stenciling the blooms in the Climbing Iris Stencil Set onto white cardstock with Cali Blue, Periwinkle, Cobalt Breeze, Azurite and Grape Crush inks. Spring Salad ink was used for the stems and leaves. Once everything was ink blended, I used the Climbing Iris Coordinating Die to cut it out.

For the background, I die-cut two layers of the Diamond Plaid Layering Coverplate Dies from white cardstock and adhered them to an A2 white card base. The irises were adhered with liquid glue.

The sentiment is from the Easy Expression Birthday Stamp Set. It was stamped with Noir and Iris Blooms ink, then cut out with the Coordinating Die. It was popped up with foam adhesive. A sprinkling of Sky Blue Opaque Rhinestones finish off the card and add a bit of sparkle and shine.

I love the look of stenciled florals! It’s so fun to play with different color combos!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a wonderful weekend!!
