Hello, fellow crafters and card makers!! Happy Friday!!
I’m throwing it waaay back today!!I remember when I first saw one of Effie’s peony stamp sets!! I was in awe!! They are still some of my favorite sets ever!! My parents will celebrate 58 years of marriage on the 23rd of January, so I thought this was the perfect time to revisit those peonies!!

I began by white heat embossing the peony and leaves from the Large Peony 5 and the leaves from the Large Peony 4 stamp sets onto Bristol smooth cardstock. I watercolored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and cut them out with the Large Peony 5 (it appears that this die is discontinued, but it would be pretty simple to fussy cut) and Large Peony 4 coordinating dies.

I also watercolored another panel of Bristol cardstock with the same watercolor markers, using quite a bit of water to make it lighter. Once it was dry, I die-cut it with the largest die in the Scalloped A2 Nested Die Set. A panel of plum colored cardstock was cut with the largest Double Pierced Rectangle A2 Dies. The panels were adhered together, the leaves adhered with liquid glue and the peony was popped up with foam tape.

For the sentiment, I stamped the Ribbons General Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Dolled Up and Pink Derby inks, then cut it out with the Coordinating Die. “Anniversary” was stamped onto white cardstock with Pink Derby ink using the Many Banners Stamp Set and trimmed into a narrow strip. The sentiment die-cut and strip were both popped up with foam tape. I added lots of Soft Pink Rhinestones for the finishing touch…I figured a couple celebrating 58 years together deserved lots of bling!!

That’s it for me today!! Have a wonderful weekend!!
