Two Cards with One Poinsettia Bouquet

Hello, friends and happy Wednesday!! How’s your week going? Mine is flying by!!

I fell in love with the Poinsettia Bouquet Stamp Set the moment that I saw it!! Such a beautiful bouquet with a large poinsettia in the center surrounded by anemones!!The image is so large that I decided to split it in two and make two cards from it…gotta love a twofer!!

I began by gold heat embossing the Poinsettia Bouquet Stamp Set onto Bristol smooth cardstock. I watercolored it using Karin Brushmarker Pro markers and added some gold splatters.

Once it was dry, I cut it out with the Coordinating Die, then cut the poinsettia in two pieces. I also diluted some of the ink from the markers and splattered that onto a white card base, along with more gold.

Next, I die-cut the Mini Sprigs Cover Die from gold glitter cardstock. I also gold heat embossed the Styled Christmas Sentiments Stamp Set and a sentiment from the Obligatory Christmas set onto white cardstock. The Styled Christmas Sentiments Coordinating Die was used to cut the Styled Sentiments out and the other one was trimmed into a rectangle.

I adhered a strip of gold glitter paper along the left side of the card base, then adhered the sprigs and poinsettia, as shown. A thin strip of gold glitter cardstock was adhered under each sentiment and they were popped up with foam adhesive.

A few Medallion Gold Sequins and some gold Stickles in the center of the poinsettias finish off the cards perfectly!!

I hope you like how these turned out as much as I do!! I love the color combo with all of the touches of gold!!

Thanks so much for hanging out with me for a bit today!! Have a great day!!

It’s not that I only like traditional Christmas designs and colors. But, I still shake my head at blue poinsettias. The stamp is lovely, a future purchase. Yet, I’ll be using reds, pinks, and a bit of yellow! Great coloring job!
