Hi all. Vera here. I’ve been enjoying creating with the sets from The Ton recent summer release, that I actually ended up finishing a couple cards for today’s post. My 1st card is showcasing the Courtyard Stairs Cling Background set.
This courtyard background kind of surprise me. At first, I am not really sure about this set as it’s what I conside as serious looking set. LOL, it’s most likely just me, but I was a bit intimidated by this. But, once I played with it, I got very excited. I guess, as I built up the scene, the more I like this set and am just thrilled with the result. I first stamp the image on a piece of watercolor cardstock. Then colored the scene. Next, I stamped the Petite Planters set, colored and die cut it with coordinating Petite Planters dies. Arrange all the planters and adhere them to the background. Finished by adding sentiment from Cascade Bits and some sequins.
For my next card, I go all tropic and create this card that reminds me of our last trip to Akumal, Mexico. The resort where we stayed has a bunch of these kind of greeneries throughout the resort.
Here I used the gel press to create the background. I swipe Bright Fern, Evergreen, Soft Garden and Lemon Yellow on the gel plate. Then laid the Refreshing Evergreen stamp on top of the gel plate, lift up and laid the cardstock panel on top of the gel plate. Quickest way to create a fun background in my opinion. Trim the panel and adhere to card base. Next, stamped one of the pot from Plentiful Planters and the leafy green from Lush Plants set. Die cut usingthe coordinating dies, colored and then adhered to the card with foam adhesive. For the sentiment I used the label sentiment from Regal Rose set. Finished by adding some enamel drops.
There you go peeps, a couple cards for this hot summer day. I hope you enjoy today’s cards and may your week been a good one and continue to be so. Have a wonderful day, peeps. Cheers.
So beautiful!!
