Hi all. Happy Friyay! Vera here bringing you some crafting inspiration as you head toward the weekend. Work been quite stressful for me lately, so, at home to calm my mind, am making the time to do some crafting. This is my way of keeping my sanity. Hah!
I actually made a couple cards today. For the first card, I made this fun card in cool tone using Petite Tones set.
To start, I created the background using alcohol ink on yupo paper. I just love this color combination.
Then, I used the Convention Coverplate dies to die cut the background to layer on top of the alcohol ink background. Next, stamped, colored and die cut the plants and pots from Petite Tones set. Arrange them on the card and adhere with foam adhesive. Finished by adding the label sentiment from Regal Rose set.
Now, for my second card, I went with muted tone. Quite the opposite of the first card. Here, I used the Fig Leaves Cling Background. This time, I used gel press technique to create the background.
First, I swipe Hot Tourmaline, Bright Fern and Soft Garden on the gel plate. Then, blend them with a roller and once I feel like I blend them enough, I laid the Fig Leaves stamp on top of the plate and lift the stamp up. The stamp picked up the ink from the gel plate. Laid the panel on top of the plate and as you can see the part where the stamp lift up the ink show up white on the panel. I love doing this technique. Trim the panel at an angle and adhere to card base.
Stamped the planters from Plentiful Planters set and the flowers from Lush Plants set. Colored and die cut using the coordinating Plentiful Planters dies and Lush Plants dies. Adhere the planters directly on the card and adhere the plants with foam adhesive. Stamped the sentiment from Cascade Bits and finished by adding some Pastel Mint sequins and a strip of glitter paper.
I hope you enjoy today’s cards and may you find some times to craft this weekend as well. Have a great Friday, peeps!
