Courtyard Stairs & Refreshing Evergreen Background Cards

Hello, crafty friends!! I hope you are having a great day!!

I have two cards to share with you today! Both of them use new cling background stamps from the Summer 2021 Release!!

The first one features the Courtyard Stairs Cling Background Stamp

I began by stamping the Courtyard Stairs Cling Background Stamp onto white cardstock with Caviar Ink. I colored the background with shades of gray Copics and trimmed the panel slightly smaller than A2. That panel was adhered to a black panel of cardstock that was die-cut with the largest die in the Double Stitched Rectangle A2 Nested Dies.

Next, I stamped some of the images from Petite Planters and Lush Plants onto white cardstock with Caviar Ink. I also colored those with Copics, then cut them out with the Petite Planters and Lush Plants Coordinating Dies. The sentiment, from Many Banners, was stamped onto white cardstock with Caviar and Meadow Ink, then cut out with the Coordinating Dies. All of the die-cuts were adhered to the background panel and this one was done!!

My next card featured the Refreshing Evergreen Cling Background Stamp

I knew as soon as I saw this stamp that I wanted to color it with Copics, so began this one by stamping the Refreshing Evergreen Background Cling Stamp onto white cardstock with Caviar Ink, then colored it with Copic markers. After spending so much time coloring it, I didn’t want to trim any of it away, so I die-cut it with the two largest dies in the Double Pierced Rectangle A2 Nested Dies. I popped the outside frame up with foam adhesive onto an A2 size card base and adhered the inner panel flat to the card base.

For the sentiment, I stamped the Ribbons General Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Cali Blue and Parisian Blue Ink, then used the Coordinating Die to cut them out. “Birthday”, also from Ribbons General, was stamped onto a white cardstock strip with Parisian Blue Ink. The die-cut sentiment and strip were both popped up with foam adhesive. I decided against adding any bling, then this could be suitable for a male or female’s birthday!

Well, that’s it for me today!! I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing these two cards created with the new cling background stamps!!

Have a great Wednesday!!

Brenda
