Hi all. Happy Fri-yay! Vera here today. This past week it’s been raining a lot on my neck of the wood, but one thing about the rain, they sure make my plants happy. I don’t consider myself as having a green thumb, but my girlfriends been really into gardening lately and they make me want to give gardening a try again. I have planted several new plants in my yard and let’s hope they will actually grow and bloom.
While waiting for all the new plants to settle and grow, I can continue dreaming of flowers through my card. Just like today’s card, which I made using The Ton Vivid Peonies and Grouped Fresh Garden Roses.
For the peonies I used Whisper Pink, Orchid Crush, Ballet Slippers, Soft Amethyst and Iris Bloom. For the rose I used Soft Cream. Peach Blossom and Coralline. For the leaves I used Matcha, Meadow and Evergreen. Stamped all the flowers and leaves and die cut using their coordinating dies. Once that done, put all the pieces aside.
For the card base, I stencil some leaves on the bottom right corner using Foliage Stencil and Matcha ink. Add a strip of patterned paper. Then arrange all the flowers and leaves and adhere with foam adhesive. I also have some left over Blossom Branches cut out from previous project and decided to tuck a couple of them into the bouquet. This is why I always save scraps or left over pieces as I can always use them on new projects. Finished by stamping the sentiment from Grouped Fresh Poppies set.
I am pretty happy that I get to use several different sets on this one card. I find it fun whenever I can do this. And, I sure hope my plants will produce pretty flowers like on this card. 🙂 Well peeps, I hope you enjoy today’s card and I wish you all a wonderful weekend.
so very pretty!!
