Poppy Smiles

Hello, crafty friends! Hope your week is off to a great start! It’s TaeEun here today with a floral card which is featuring the Poppy Smiles stamp set.

I did simple and light watercoloring on the gold heat embossed floral image and matched it with a dark background.

To begin I gold heat embossed the Poppy Smiles two times on some watercolor paper. I watercolored the flowers in pink and the leaves in purple very lightly. I then colored the background around the image in Payne’s gray and cut them using the coordinating die.

To create the dark background I watercolored a watercolor paper panel in Payne’s gray and Phthalo blue and splattered gold watercolor on it. After the panel was dry I cut it using the Quilted A2 die and adhered it flat on a white cardbase.

The die cut flowers were then added to the card using foam tape as shown in the picture. The sentiment is from Easy Expressions Birthday stamp set. I gold heat embossed the scripty part of the sentiment and stamped the rest in Noir. To add more golden accent I scattered Medallion Gold sequins.

That’s it from me for today! I love how this card turned out. I hope you like it too 🙂 !

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Have a crafty week!
