Hi all. Vera here today. After experiencing my coldest winter by far in Houston a couple weeks ago, I am ready for the pretty spring weather and all the pretty flowers the season brings. This tropical girl definitely not made for below freeing temperature.
For this card, I started by stamping the flowers from Magnificent Magnolias set with Caviar ink pad. Then colored them all with Copic markers.
Once done, I die- cut all the pieces. I cut a strip of patterned paper and adhere it to the bottom of the card base. Arrange all the flowers and adhere to card base. For the sentiment, I decided to combine sentiment from Peony Laurel and from Grouped Fresh Peonies. I find combining sentiment from different sets is a great way to get more out of your stamp sets.

Looking at this card, I sure wish our magnolia tree will make it. Most of our plants didn’t make it through the one week of freezing temp. Anyhoo… I hope you enjoy today’s card and may your Friday be a good one and you have a great start to the weekend. Cheers…
That card is gorgeous. We here in the Dallas area shared your pain a couple of weeks ago — sub-freezing temps, busted pipes, loss of electricity and, for some, loss of water — it was a nightmare! While I’m a “Texas girl” (and an old one at that), I’ve never experienced these conditions and hope I never will again. I’m with you 100% — it’s time for spring flowers, both with my cards and out my window!
