Be Merry – Holiday Coffee

Hello, fellow cardmakers!! I hope those of you who celebrate Thanksgiving had a long, relaxing holiday weekend!! We’re in the middle of renovating a couple of rooms in my parents’ home, so there wasn’t a lot of relaxing involved on my end. Good thing my husband and I enjoy working together on projects like this!!

I have a holiday coffee card to share with you today…

I began by stamping the poinsettias, leaves and berries using the Poinsettia Wishes Stamp Set. I used the Ruby and Crystal Garden collections for all of the layers on the images, then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. The sentiment, also from the Poinsettia Wishes Stamp Set, was stamped with Red Sangria Ink then die-cut with the Many Sentiments Holiday Coverplate Dies.

I die-cut all the elements for the coffee cup from white and reddish-pink cardstock using the Holiday Coffee Dies. The white polka-dots were stamped onto the coffee cup and white heat embossed using the Delicate Polka Dots Cling Background Stamp. I added some shading to the die-cuts with Copic markers before adhering them all together.

For the background, I die-cut the Grid A2 Coverplate Die from white cardstock and layered it over a white cardbase. The poinsettias, leaves and berries were arranged and adhered in opposite corners, trimming off the excess. The cup and sentiment die-cuts were popped up with foam adhesive. Lastly, I added some green glitter Stickles to the centers of the poinsettias and the coffee cup sleeve.

I really love how this came together…I hope you do, too!! I am particularly loving this bright green color for the holidays this year!!

Have a great week and I’ll see you soon!! I can’t believe this is the last day of November, can you?

Brenda
