Hi peeps! Vera here. Yesterday The Ton released some really amazing sets and from the moment I got my package, I was creating like crazy. That’s what happened when the sets just inspire you to create.
For today, I want to showcase Fall Leaves Layered Dies in all its glory. I don’t think this ever really happened to me, but I ended up with 4 cards for today’s post.
It all started with this beauty bunch.
Honestly this all happened by accident. I had no plan when I started working with these leaves. I was just doing various ink blending using Soft Garden, Lemon Drop, Coralline, Bright Emerald & Iris Blooms. Then I die cut the leaves and the outline. Still no plan. I thought I was going to do a couple card, maybe one with the outline and the other with the solid leaves.
Then as I was just playing around and by accident stacking them, I really love the randomness of the colors between the outline part and the solid part. When I saw them like above, I was just like, wow, this is so cool. And, before I know it, I ended up with 4 clean & simple cards that’s totally make my heart sings. I love super clean & simple cards.
I did some more ink blending and using Slimline Short Stripes Coverplate dies, I ended up with some pretty colorful strips to match the leaves. For this first card, I simply put everything together and finished with sentiment from Easy Expressions.
For the next two cards, I am using the same sets and just created variation of the 1st card.
Now, for the 4th card, I decided to change thing up a bit. I used Slimline Diagonal Stripes Coverplate and use only a few of of the stripes. and combine 3 of the leaves.
All I can say, I am so happy with the way these cards turned out. Soft colors, plenty of white space, clean & simple design just make me happy. And, in a way it also show what a great set this Fall Leaves Layered Dies is. You could use 1 leaf or combine them however many you like and you could end up with several cards just from running this set one time.
Well peeps, I hope you enjoy today’s cards and I really hope you like them as much as I do. Thank you so much for stopping by here. Cheers….
