Hi everyone. Hope you all are doing well during this stay at home moment.
I spent this past weekend, crafting quite a bit. I must be on a roll, cause I ended up with 2 cards for today. Hah! Let’s start with the 1st one, shall we?
I decided to show this older but timeless set called Magnificent Magnolia. I haven’t done ink blending for a while, so thought it’s about time to practice again. To start, I adhere two strips of post-it-note for masking on a panel. Blend in The Ton Azurite, Hot Tourmaline and Soft Garden ink with blending brush.
Once that done, remove the strips, splatter some black watercolor. Let dry. Stamp and fussy cut the flowers and adhere to card. Then I die cut the letters using Modern Alphas Coverplate Die and colored the letters with Copic. Adhere to panel. Then I adhere the panel to card base with foam adhesive.
I did the first card with cool colors, so for fun, I made another one with warm colors.
For this one, pretty much same steps and I used Coralline, Iris Blooms, Grand Fuchsia, Soft Garnet. I did added a strip of patterned paper to change the look a bit and for sentiment, I used sentiment from Confetti Borders. I simply love the combo of large and small font. It create a very modern look in my opinion.
So, there you go. 2 cards with same techniques, but different look. I hope you like them and may they help inspire you to get crafty. This is very weird time for sure and we all doing our best to stay safe and sane. And, crafting definitely help me, well when mojo cooperate, because sometime, mojo can be very hard headed and just like, uh, uh, nope, not doing it. Am for sure taking advantage when it decided to play nice & help me create.
That’s all from me today. Hope you all stay safe, stay well and be kind to one another
These are both such beautiful cards! I like how different they look, just by changing the colors and adding a strip of paper to one. 🙂
