Hi peeps. Vera here bringing you more Lovely Lily inspiration as promised on my post from last week.

Although, I have to admit that I made a big whoopsy. As I mentioned on my previous post I made 2 lily cards and will share the next one on today’s post. Well, as I was getting ready to type the post, I realized that I had made that card using some new release sets as well that I simply can’t share, yet. And, I was actually super excited to share that card because I was using quite a few set on 1 card.

Well, I have to wait to share that card till new release time & needless to say, I ended up making another one, so I can keep my promise of sharing another lily card. I really don’t mind at all as I can honestly say lily is one of my most favorite flower to color.

I decided to do watercolor on this lily and mix it up with some color pencil. Once I am done with the lily, I cut it with Brother Scan ‘n Cut & put it aside. For the background I simply stamped Peony Crush Cling Background with Versamark ink. This such a gorgeous set, I almost don’t want to cover it at all.

I trim the panel and adhere it to white cardstock base. I like to use white cardstock for base to make it easy writing on the inside. Then, I adhere the flower to the card. I adhere the stem flat with regular adhesive and the petal part with foam adhesive.

For the sentiment I used one of my favorite sentiment from Layered Floral Alpha Bundle and stamped it with Smoky Quartz ink pad.

During the process of this card, I am reminded that sometime it’s good to try to work with color or method that you’re not used to. I tend to avoid dark color, like this teal, but I am really glad that I give it a try as I actually love the way it look. I would like to encourage you to do the same. Use that cardstock or technique that you normally avoid. Who knows, the result might surprise you.
