Hi peep. How’s it going? Vera here today. 5 day till Christmas. It’s not too late to send Christmas cards out, is it? Yep, I am still scrambling and to be honest, I don’t think I will really catch up and send enough cards to all the people I plan to send cards to.
What can I say, I can be quite a procrastinator. Hah!
Anyway, since I am still needing Christmas card, I decided to play with an older set Coming Up Poinsettias.
To start, I masked the edges of the card and inked it up with various ink color.
Then, I stamped and heat embossed the poinsettias with gold embossing powder. Once that done, I colored it with Copic and die cut it. Adhere the flower to the card base with foam adhesive. Trim the part that stick out over the card. Stamped the sentiment on a strip of cardstock and adhere with foam adhesive as well. I just love using them. 🙂
I almost leave the card the way it is, but then I decided I should add a little chickadee from Nesting Peonies set to my card. Finished by covering the image with shimmering markers and added some mixed size dew drops.
I hope you can see the pretty shimmer on the card. Yay for one more card to send out. How about you? Are you sending out Christmas cards this year? Handmade, store bought or just family photo card?
Well peeps, that’s all from me today. I know it’s still 5 days away, but I am wishing you all a wonderful and joyous Christmas. And, may we remember the true meaning of Christmas and be kinder to one another, not just during the season but all year long. Cheers….
Merry Christmas, Vera.
