Transformation Hummingbird in two ways

Hello everyone! Hope you’re having a wonderful week so far! It’s TaeEun here today with a couple of cards featuring Transformation Hummingbird stamp set. I tried to make two cards in the same layout and colors. I used two coloring mediums to see how different they look.

On the first card I colored the Transformation Hummingbird using alcohol ink. Some of you asked me to make a video tutorial of alcohol ink coloring. I’ll try to make a video next year 🙂 . I’ve once posted here a coloring process video using alcohol ink. If you want to watch it, click here!

I heat embossed the hummingbird in Rose Gold embossing powder on an alcohol ink cardstock. Then I colored it by dropping the alcohol ink and tilting the paper. For small areas I used a micro applicator. The colors I used are: Purple Twilight, Turquoise, Limeade for the hummingbird , Shell Pink, Amethyst for the morning glory flowers, Aqua, Turquoise, Limeade for the leaves.

In the background I colored only the bottom part using Purple Twilight and Silver Mixative. I used lots of rubbing alcohol to blend  and brighten the colors. After the coloring was done I cut it using a Double Stitched Rectangle die.

I adhered Adhesive Glitter paper Glossy fine Silver on the four sides of a gray cardstock and foam mounted the colored panel on it. The sentiment was cut from Adhesive Glitter paper Glossy fine Silver and three more times from white cardstock. I stacked them together and added it to the card. I finished off the card by adding some Glass Slippers Round Confetti.

The second hummingbird was watercolored.

I stamped the Transformation Hummingbird on a watercolor paper in Noir and clear heat embossed the image. I colored the hummingbird and morning glory flowers using Color Burst powder. The coral morning glories were colored in Duochrome Hibiscus watercolor. I colored the background in purple and silver and let the panel dry.

I cut the panel slightly tilted using a Double Stitched Rectangle die . I ink blended Iris Blooms on the outer frame. The center piece was glued flat on a white cardbase and the frame was foam mounted.  The die cut sentiment was created in the same way like the first card. The finishing touch for this card was some clear dew drops.

It was so much fun to color this gorgeous hummingbird with different mediums. I hope you’ll give this a try 🙂 !

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Hope you enjoyed looking my cards 🙂 !

Have a wonderful day!
