Blue Christmas

Hi all. Vera here bringing you end of the week inspiration on behalf of The Ton.

I was cleaning up my craft room & was inspired to give some old sets some love. I reached for one of my favorite, Cozy Poinsettia set.

My coloring for the poinsettia was inspired from one of the card that was sent in by Susie Moore for Caring Hearts Card Drive. I just love the warm grey mixed with greens and blues. After I colored the poinsettia, I die cut it and put it aside.

Next, I stamped and die cut the ornament from Holiday Ornaments set. This set is perfect for mass production as you don’t have to color them. Simply stamp it in whatever color you want and it’s ready to go.

Arrange the poinsettia and ornament. Trim the excess part and adhere the pieces with foam adhesive. I did end up using the excess part and tuck it under the poinsettia to fill up some part.

For the sentiment, I colored a strip of white cardstock with Copic and then stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from the same Holiday Ornaments set. Finished by adding some mixed size dew drops.

I love using unusual color combo and quite happy with the way this card turned out. Hope you enjoy today’s card as much as I enjoy making it. Thank you so much for stopping by here and may you all have a merry December. Cheers…

Vera
