Noted Peonies Birthday Card Set

Hello fellow card makers!! I hope you had a great week!! I have a set of birthday cards to share that features the new Noted Peonies layering stamp set. I think I say this every time that Effie comes out with a new layering floral set, but I think I have a new favorite!! The way these layer up and leave the white highlights just make them appear so dimensional!! They just pop off of the paper!!

I began by stamping all of the flowers using Couture Inks. I have individual photos of each card and will go through the colors that I used on each.

For the pink one, I used the Ruby Collection: Rose Quartz, Soft Garnet & Red Sangria. I used Amber Citrine & Found Topaz for the centers of all of the flowers. The Crystal Garden Collection: Soft Garden, Bright Fern & Deep Emerald was used for all of the leaves.

I fussy cut all of the flowers and leaves and went to work on the background. The Basic Stripes Cling Background stamp was stamped onto white cardstock with the medium shade of ink in each collection. The Mini Dots Cling Background was also stamped onto white cardstock, but with the lightest ink in the collection. I adhered a strip of the striped paper to the left side of the card panel and trimmed a bit off of the polka-dot paper before adhering it.

The smaller flowers and leaves were adhered flat to the background, while the largest bloom was popped up with foam adhesive. A sentiment, from Morning Glory Greetings, was white heat embossed onto a black cardstock strip and popped up with foam tape. A sprinkling of Glass Slippers Sequins completes the card.
