Good morning!! I LOVE creating holiday cards with non-traditional colors!! Especially with a touch (or a lot) of black for a little drama!! I decided on purple for today’s card and I love how it turned out…
I started by stamping the Poinsettia Arrangement onto white cardstock with Caviar Ink and coloring the image with Copics. I did add some additional details with colored pencils. I fussy cut the image and set it aside to work on my background.
I stamped and heat embossed the Holiday Border Cling Background stamp onto purple cardstock with WOW! White Twinkle embossing powder. I wish you could see the sparkle from this embossing powder…it is white with silver glitter mixed in!! I trimmed the panel slightly and adhered it to a white A2 cardbase. The greeting, also from Poinsettia Arrangement, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut out. I popped the poinsettia image and the greeting up with foam adhesive. Lastly, some Silver Stickles add some bling to the center of the poinsettias.
That’s it for me today!! How about you? Do you prefer traditional or non-traditional colors in your holiday cards?
Have a wonderful weekend!!
love that background! Gorgeous card!
