It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like…Christmas???

Hey there!! It’s a confusing time of year for me!! We are still having summer temperatures here in the Midwest, looking forward to the leaves turning beautiful fall colors, then Effie comes out with her stunning holiday designs…sigh. I can’t get into buying Christmas gifts or decorating early, but I can get behind getting an early start on my Christmas cards!!

My first card can be used for Christmas or any occasion…

I stamped the Holiday Shoes image onto white cardstock with Caviar Ink, colored it with Copic markers and fussy cut it out. For the background, I stamped a couple of the stripes from Swatch It repeatedly onto white cardstock with Red Sangria and Caribbean Turquoise ink and cut it out with the largest of the Double Stitched Rectangle (Sm) Die. The shoe image was adhered with foam adhesive. The sentiment, also from Holiday Shoes, was white heat embossed onto a black cardstock strip and popped up with foam adhesive. Glass Slippers Round Confetti was sprinkled around I was finished!

My second card features the Loose Poinsettia stamp set…I LOVE these poinsettias!!

I stamped all of the images from the Loose Poinsettias stamp set onto white cardstock with Caviar Ink, colored them with Copics and added details with colored pencils. I fussy cut the images and ran a black Tombow marker around the outside. I added some Silver Glitter Tape down each side of a white cardbase, then adhered a black cardstock panel. The greeting, from the Poinsettia Wreath set, was white heat embossed onto the black panel. The berries and leaves were adhered flat to the black panel, while the poinsettias were popped up with foam adhesive. I splattered diluted white gouache onto the card and added silver stickles to the center of the blooms. To finish, a few Silver Metallic Sequins were added around the sentiment.

That’s it for me today!! Thanks for stopping by!!

How about you…do you get an early start on Christmas?

Love the stamps you are showing today and really like all of your stamps. I wish you offered dies with most stamps as I do not do fussy cutting, just can not get them to ever turn out right. Try not to get to many stamps that don’t have dies to match. Sadly I do not have a way to use your cut files to download either. Hope you can offer more stamp and die sets later as I love all your stamps.
