Hi peeps! How’s it going? Vera here to continue sharing my love of The Ton SVG digital cut file. I seriously love them. No, I am not saying it because I am on their design team, but because I genuinely love them and I think you could totally see it in my creations.
I have more cards to share using the cut files. Well, for today, I am playing with Fresh Layered Lily Bundle SVG Cut File. When I saw it, I was like, oh me, me, me… I want it! I love working with flowers in case you couldn’t tell. 😉
I started by cutting the framed lily with my Brother Scan ‘n Cut. Once that done, I adhere the outline frame to the card base after laying out all the inside pieces. Then, I colored all the pieces. I actually started by using distress oxide ink.
Then, I wasn’t quite happy with the result and I thought I should add more details with my Copic. Well, I ended up liking the Copic results more, so I just colored all the pieces with Copic all over again. Apparently it still works to color on top of the distress oxide. 🙂
Once I am happy with the coloring, then I added more details with white glaze pen. Just drawing a bunch of dots at various sizes. Done with that, adhered all the pieces inside the outline.
For the sentiment, I used the sentiment from Peony Laurel (I used this set a lot!!). Stamped it and fill out the open space of the letter.
I decided the card still need a bit more zing to it, so I covered the flower and sentiment with napkin paper and spray & sprinkle some white paint. And, that’s it.
Have you give the digital file a try? If not, I encourage you to give it a try. They’re so reasonable priced and so easy to use and they work with all kind of cutting machine.
Well peeps, that’s all from me today. May your weekend starts off wonderfully.
Vera
So beautiful!!
