Peony Fields

Hello crafty friends! Hope your week is off to a great start! It’s TaeEun here today with a pair of cards I made using the gorgeous Peony Fields cling background stamp.

I’ve created two panels in different ways and cut them to mix and match.

The first panel was created by heat embossing Peony Fields image on a shimmery cardstock panel in silver. I left the stamp in the MISTI tool and stamped the second panel. I scribbled Tombow brush markers on the stamp, sprayed water on it and stamped the image on a watercolor paper panel. I repeated the process until I was happy with the result.

Now I have two panels with exactly the same image on them. I cut both panels using the largest Double Stitched Rectangle die and then cut them along a line I drew on the back. I then switched the lower part of them and made them into two cards.

I foam mounted the upper parts on light gray cardbases and adhered the lower parts flat on them. The sentiments are from Chandelier set. I white heat embossed them on gray cardstock. I cut the sentiments in strips and added them onto the cards. To finish off I added some Glass Slippers sequins.

That’s it from my side for today! Hope I could show you how to add more interest by mixing and matching parts of two differently stamped panels.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Wishing you all a happy week!

Beautiful work as usual TaeEun and the colours used straight to stamp and spritzed a bit before stamping has worked really well, such pretty colours too, and love the upper layer silver embossed which works wonderfully – a great combination. x

Just Absolutely Gorgeous, love the idea of swapping the cut offs around. Very unusual design but I love it. Thank you so much for the inspiration xx
