Scenes with Cling Background Stamps

Good morning everyone!! It is a busy time of year for me!! We are traveling most weekends and only being home for about 3 1/2 days during the week doesn’t leave a lot of time for me to work in my craft room!! I usually stamp some images and grab some markers to get some coloring done when I have some downtime during the weekend. Last week I stamped a couple of the new cling background stamps and some images to go along with them to make a couple of scene cards.

The first one pairs the Scenes: Doorway with the City Girls: Chic Happens set…

First, I stamped the Scenes: Doorway stamp onto Bristol paper with Smoky Quartz ink, and the girl with the balloons from City Girls: Chic Happens with Noir ink. Then I watercolored them both with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. The background panel was cut down to an A2 size using the largest of the Double Stitched Rectangle Dies (Lg). The girl was fussy cut and adhered to the background panel. The greeting, also from City Girls: Chic Happens, was white heat embossed onto a charcoal cardstock strip.

The second card combines the Scenes: Parisian Café with the City Girls: Café Date.

This one was made pretty much to same way as the other. I stamped the Scenes: Parisian Café and the City Girls: Café Date with Smoky Quartz ink and colored them with Zigs. The background panel was also cut with the Double Stitched Rectangle Die (Lg.). After fussy cutting all of the images, all I had to do was create the scene and adhere all of the elements. The sentiment, from City Girls: Café Date, was white heat embossed onto a charcoal cardstock strip.

Thanks for stopping by today!! Have a wonderful week!!
