Hello and Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there! I hope you’re enjoying the day today! I have a main project and a flash digital release. Be sure to scroll all the way down to see the new goodies! For my project today, I have a watercolored card using our Amazing Gardenia and Beautiful Branches set.

I started off by gold heat embossing the gardenia onto watercolor paper. After I die cut it using the coordinating die (which is still available but once it sells out, we will not be restocking!), I watercolored it using Peony and Sap Green Color Bursts.

Next, I used my electric cutting machine to cut out the shapes of my Beautiful Branches. You can find the SVG download here. **The Beautiful Branches download contains 2 cut files. The first file is the Placement Guide file which cuts out both branches on individual rectangles. You’re going to place these guides into your Misti to easily stamp or emboss your cut pieces.

The second file contains a cut file that only cuts out the shape of the two branches. Cut this file first if you want to stamp/emboss multiple cut pieces easily.

Once all my cutting and embossing was complete, I colored in the floral branch using Orchid and Indigo Color Bursts (and Sap Green and Prussian Blue for the leaves). For the smaller branch, I used Prussian Blue for the buds and Sap Green for the leaves.

Next, I created a 6 inch x 4.25 inch green cardstock panel. I also created a 4 inch x 2.5 inch white panel which I adhered onto the green panel. Then I popped up my gardenia and branches. For my sentiment, I white heat embossed the Mother’s Day sentiment in our Mini Holiday stamp set onto gray cardstock. Once embossed, I trimmed it into a narrow strip and popped it up onto my card. Lastly, I added some Medallion Gold sequins to add some a metallic details. I tucked some sequins behind my florals for more interest!
