Hi everyone. Vera here. The weather been so lovely here in Texas that I can’t help creating a project with spring feeling to it.
For my card today, I just had to reach this beautiful oldie but goody cover plate, called Best Day Ever. I feel like I didn’t give this cover plate enough love & it’s time to do something about it, because it really is such a pretty & delicate design. 🙂
I am currently loving playing with alcohol pearl ink and just couldn’t resist to use it to create a pretty, colorful background for this card. I mean, how pretty is this rainbow background?
I love that you don’t have to have it look perfect. I pretty much just go back and forth a few times and that’s it. I used Yupo paper here and it helps in creating the softer color.
Next, I die cut the design and simply adhere it directly on top of the Yupo paper, trim them to be slightly smaller than the card base.
I was going to add butterfly to complete the card, but then I just have to use my favorite birdies from Nesting Peonies set.
I really love the way this card turned out. It’s always give me satisfaction when a card turned out exactly the way I envisioned it. Cause you know that’s not always the case. Hah…
I hope you enjoy today’s card as much as I enjoy making it. I wish you a beautiful weather and a beautiful day. Cheers…
Vera
The birds are the perfect finishing touch for this pretty card.
