Hello friends!! Brenda, here with you today!! I think everyone is craving spring and warmer temperatures. We are expecting snow in the Midwest again and highs in the 20 degree range at the beginning of next week. Ugh!! I am so over it!! In the meantime, it is definitely spring in my craft room!! Hopefully these projects brighten your day!!
I have two cards to share with you today!! The first features the Gardenia Wishes stamp set paired with the Sweetheart Word Plate Dies.
I began by stamping the Gardenia Wishes stamp set onto white cardstock with Caviar Ink and colored it with Copic markers. These colors just pop off of the page!! I trimmed the panel with the largest of the Double Stitched Rectangle Dies (Sm) and adhered it to an A2 sized panel of black cardstock. I cut the sentiment from pink and black cardstock using the Sweetheart Word Plate Dies. A few sequins from the Pink Bokeh and Pink Diamond Couture Mixes add some sparkle!
My second card uses the Special Day Lantern stamp set & Coordinating Dies…
I stamped the Special Day Lanterns using the following Couture Inks: Rose Quartz, Red Sangria, Soft Amethyst, Iris Blooms, Soft Garden, Bright Fern and Beach Blondie. I heat embossed the actual lanterns themselves with gold embossing powder, then cut them out with the Special Day Lanterns Coordinating Dies. I used a scoreboard to create an embossed striped pattern onto a panel of white cardstock and adhered it with foam adhesive. The lanterns were also adhered with foam tape. The sentiment, also from Special Day Lanterns, was stamped with Iris Blooms Ink. Lastly, a few Medallion Gold Sequins finish off the card.
That’ll do it for me today!! I hope I’ve brightened your day a bit!!
Have a great weekend!!!
Wow! I love the flowers on the first one!!
