Power Pumps & Hustle and Grind

Hello and happy Friday, everyone!

It’s TaeEun here today with a couple of encouragement cards made using Power Pumps and Hustle and Grind Sentiments stamp sets. These two stamp sets go so well together with their vigorous and bold characteristic.

On my first card I used the GORGEOUS Peony Close Up stamp as a backdrop for the pretty red high heel from Power Pumps  stamp set.

First I stamped the high heel in Lipstick Red and Pink Derby. I stamped the insole and the heel using Crystal Pewter and Smoky Quartz. I clear heat embossed the base layer of the shoe for some shine and added clear glitter on the insole using a clear glitter pen. I then cut the high heel using the coordinating die.

To create the background I watercolored the white heat embossed peony of Peony Close Up on some watercolor paper. I used Peony and Wisteria Color Burst powders. I applied lots of water on the panel and colored petal by petal. I added the vibrant color on the inner end of the petals while leaving the outer end of petals quite bright.

The background panel was cut using Double Stitched Rectangle die and foam mounted on a white cardbase. The sentiment from Hustle and Grind Sentiments set was heat embossed in black on a torn strip of vellum and added to the panel before I adhered it on the cardbase. I then added the high heel using some foam adhesives and embellished the card with some Glass Slippers sequins and Santa’s Sneezes Couture Mix to finish it off.

For my second high heel I made an alcohol inked panel.

Here I heat embossed the high heel from Power Pumps in gold and copper. The heel and the insole were stamped in Lipstick Red and I added the shadow layer in Smoky Quartz. The high heel was then cut using the coordinating die.

To make the background I used several alcohol inks in red shade. I applied Blending solution first on a glossy cardstock panel and dripped the alcohol ink colors. I blew the ink to blend them, splattered gold mixative on it and let it a bit dry. Before the panel was completely dry I pressed a gold foil on it with the help of a brayer. The foil sticks on the area where the ink is still wet leaving beautiful golden accents.

I white heat embossed the sentiments from Power Pumps and Hustle and Grind Sentiments stamp set on some black cardstock. DREAMS DEMAND HUSTLE is actually one stamp from Hustle and Grind Sentiments set. I cut off each line and added them separately onto the card as shown in the picture. The sentiment in smaller font is from Power Pumps. Some Medallion Gold sequins were my finishing touch.

That’s it from me today. I hope I was able to inspire you with my cards.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I am truly grateful for your lovely comments ❤ !

Wishing you all a restful and crafty weekend!

Hugs,

TaeEun
