Layering Stamps Cards

Hello everyone!! Brenda here with you today!! I’ll admit, the first stamps I reach for after a new release are the floral stamps…usually the ones that I can stamp an outline and then color. However, the layering stamps from The Ton deserve equal attention!! Such unique designs!! Combine them with The Ton’s beautiful inks, and you have limitless possibilities!!

I decided to give a couple of layering stamps some love for today’s projects. The first uses the oh-so-cool Power Pumps set.

Love, love, love this Power Pumps stamp set!! These heels look amazing stamped in shades of gray & black, but I decided to make mine sparkle & shine.

I started off by heat embossing the main part of the heels with WOW Fool’s Gold embossing powder onto the center of a top-folding white note card. Warm Hazelnut & Noir Inks were used to complete the image.  I stamped the sentiment, from Hustle & Grind, under the pumps with Noir Ink and Fool’s Gold embossing powder. I used some creative masking to make the sentiment two-toned. Next, I cut a frame using the two largest Double Stitched Rectangle Dies (Large). I coated the frame with Versamark Ink and heat embossed it, as well. The frame was adhered with foam adhesive. I played around with adding some additional embellishments, but in the end I wanted the focus to remain on the shoes & the card already has enough bling! It’s so sparkly in real life!!

My next card showcases the Gifted layering stamp set. This set can be customized to suit any occasion, but I decided to make a Valentine card.

I began by stamping the gifts and ribbons in Rose Quartz, Hollywood Star, Red Sangria and Valentine Red Couture Inks. I fussy cut the image, but the Coordinating Die is available. I stamped and white heat embossed the Delicate Polka Dots Cling Background Stamp onto a panel of pink cardstock and then cut it with largest of the Double Stitched Rectangle Dies (Large). A blending brush was used to blend Hollywood Star and Red Sangria around the outside of the panel. The sentiment, from the XOXO Mini set was white heat embossed onto a strip of red cardstock and adhered toward the bottom of the panel. The gifts were popped up with foam adhesive. A few tiny hearts were pulled from the Deck the Halls Couture Mix. Lastly, a little shine was added to the ribbons and sentiment strip with a Clear Wink of Stella Pen.
