Merry Christmas everyone!! I hope Santa left you some goodies under the tree this morning!!
Brenda here with a couple of cards to share with you today!! The first is a holiday card (I look at it as getting a jump-start on next year…lol!!) and the second would make a great thank you card for after the holidays.
Let’s start with the holiday card…
I started by stamping the Wonderland Print stamp set with Soft Garden, Bright Fern, and Valentine Red Inks, then cutting the image out with the Wonderland Print Coordinating Dies. Next, I stamped the Diagonal Stripes Cling Background stamp with Valentine Red Ink onto pale pink cardstock. The largest of the Double Stitched Rectangle Dies was used to die-cut the background panel. I had good intentions of making this into a shaker card. I wanted to stamp the sentiment onto the acetate, but there was just too much static and the embossing powder stuck all over the acetate sheet. (Even after using an anti-static powder tool.) So, I white heat embossed the sentiment, also from the Wonderland Print set, directly onto the background panel. A red marker ws used to create a shadow, so the letters stood out more. I popped up the die-cut image with foam adhesive. The Sugar Cookie Couture Mix was sprinkled inside the die-cut. Lastly, Ruby Slippers Glitter Nuvo Drops add some bling to the berries and centers of the flowers.
The next card could be a thank you card or just thinking of you…
Holy sparkles, Batman!! I used so much glitter paper for this card!! It is very eye-catching though! I die-cut the Snowflake Layering Coverplate Dies from white & blue glitter paper and adhered them directly onto a panel of silver glitter paper. I popped the white snowflakes back onto the panel with foam adhesive, rotating them slightly. The sentiment, from Blizzard Hugs, was white heat embossed onto blue cardstock and trimmed into a rectangle. It was then adhered with foam tape.
That’s it for me today!!
Wishing you a very merry holiday season and a Happy New Year!!!
I’ll see you soon!!!
