Video: Last Minute Embossed Christmas Cards

blizzard hugs white emb

Hi, everyone!! I’m back with a quick pair of embossed holiday cards using our Blizzard Hugs stamp set! Christmas is literally around the corner and you guys are probably running around with last minute prep and errands (I’m totally projecting here). So I made this quick holiday card for those who are a bit pressed for time but need a design with impact.

I basically white heat embossed the smallest and mid sized snowflakes from our Blizzard Hugs all over an A2 red card panel. Before I started stamping, I made sure to position the mid sized snowflake somewhere a bit off center on my panel. This will serve as my focal point later on since I die cut the inner negative space with the coordinating die. Before I started die cutting, I added some smaller snowflakes in the empty/negative areas.

Once everything was white embossed, I die cut that mid sized snowflake using the coordinating die. I also die cut the entire panel with the largest die from our Double Stitched Rectangles Small die collection. This die cut my panel into a smaller than A2 sized panel with stitching around the four edges.

Next, I popped up the embossed panel onto a side folding A2 cardbase. Then I stamped my sentiment with our Caviar Hybrid ink onto white cardstock which I trimmed into a banner. Lastly, I popped it up onto my base and added some Gold Medallion sequins to embellish my card.

Nice card. Thank you so much for the discount code! I’m really excited to heat emboss all the things, especially all the floral background stamps that I’ve wanted for a long long time! Your floral designs are some of the best ever. So you can say that I got some great last minute gifts for myself. LOL. Happy Holidays and a Wonderful New Year!
