Winter Greeting Cards

Hello and happy Friday, everyone!!! It’s TaeEun here today with a couple of winter greeting cards. Christmas season is just around the corner and we all need some winter greeting cards, right 🙂 !

The first card is a shaker card made using Wonderland Print Bundle from our Fall 2018 Release. Using the coordinating die it was quite easy to make a shaker which is framed with the Christmas wreath border!

To start off I stamped the wreath from Wonderland Print Bundle in Hollywood Star and Crystal Pewter. I inked up the leave layer in green first and wiped it off before stamping to give some green tone to the gray of Crystal Pewter color. The last layer was silver heat embossed. I then cut the wreath using the coordinating die. I cut the wreath shape from some pink fun foam to make the shaker wall.

The background with the sentiment was created on some white cardstock. I stamped a small solo poinsettia image from Wonderland Print Bundle in Crystal Pewter several times. I stamped the sentiment (TIS THE SEASON TO BE JOLLY) also from Wonderland Print stamp set in Noir and heat embossed it using Extreme Peacock embossing powder. To give the sentiment more dimension and shine I clear heat embossed the sentiment two more times (It’s hard to capture in a picture though.). Hope you could see the glitter and shine on the letters :)!

As I wanted a pink cardbase I blended Hollywood Star on the background using a Clarity stencil Brush . To make the poinsettia more subtle I colored them over with a white pencil, and cut the panel using coordinating die.

I assembled the shaker elements together on the background by adding beads and sequins from I Dream in Peach and Wintergreen Frost Couture Mix. I added a few score lines on the middle of the cardbase and adhered the shaker on it.

The second card is featuring Cardinal Friends set from Fall 2018 Release.  I had a blast coloring the images on this card!!!

I stamped the cardinal and the branch on some beige cardstock in Vanilla Frosted Cupcake. The berries were stamped on a A2 panel of the same beige cardstock as shown in the picture as the background for the cardinal.

I then colored all the images using Prismacolor colored pencils and cut the cardinal and the branch using coordinating dies. The background panel was cut using Double Stitched Rectangle die. The sentiment from Cardinal Friends was gold heat embossed on the background panel. I foam mounted the panel on a white cardbase and added the cardinal and the branch using some foam tapes. To finish off I added three Medallion Gold sequins.

I really love how this card turned out :)!

That’s it from me today! Hope I could inspire you with my cards!

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Hugs,

TaeEun

The wreath does not even look like a Christmas card with the color palette you’ve used, it is so pretty. Gorgeous coloring on your second card. Thanks for sharing your creativity.

Two gorgeous cards TaeEun, and the soft colours of the shaker wreath go beautifully with the candy pink of the background card, and love the dimension of the pretty cardinal over the stunning leaf and berry backgound. x
