Hello and welcome back!! Did you enjoy our Release Blog Hop? If not, head over to our hop post to check out all the inspiration created by our team and guest designers!  For today’s project, I combined our new Amazing Gardenia with our Autumn Wishes to create a 5×7 inch Thanksgiving Card.

I don’t normally make cards this large but I really wanted to use these two clusters together. It actually come together quite nicely because I got to use the Wonderful wordplate die and I had sufficient room to die cut it on my 7x5in card.  Let’s begin!

Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube Channel for more inspiration! I update our channel on a weekly basis!

I started off by heat embossing the clusters from both sets in our Rose Gold Embossing Powder. Then I watercolored the images using Dr. Ph Martins Radiant Watercolors (Persimmon, Grass Green, Lemon Yellow and Saddle Brown).

Once everything was painted, I fussy cut the gardenia and die cut the Autumn Wishes images.

Next I cut a 3.5in x 7in strip of kraft cardstock and die cut the “wonderful” sentiment using the wordplate die from our Bold Amazing Greeting Dies collection. At this point, I thought that the kraft panel looked a bit bare and plain. So I stamped the front of the panel with one of the stamps from our Buildable Woodgrain stamps in our Found Topaz dye ink. This added some nice texture and added some “oomph” to the card.

Then I heat embossed the “have a” from our Seriously Amazing set onto a piece of white 7x5in cardstock. Next, I started assembling my card. I adhered the white panel (after trimming it a 1/4 in) onto a brown cardbase. Then I adhered the kraft panel strip. Then I assembled  and mounted the floral and branch clusters onto my base using dimensional foam tape. I also added some of my birds for a whimsical effect.

Lastly, I heat embossed the last part of my sentiment – a banner from our Basic Banners and the “thanksgiving” sentiment from the Add On Holiday Banners mini set. After I die cut the banner, I popped it up onto my card.

That’s all from me today! I hope you enjoyed my project and process video.  Also, there’s still a few more hours left to take advantage of our new release promotion:

Your thanksgiving card is beautiful. The colors you used just made the flowers and leaves stand out in the whole arrangement. Thank you for the video.
