Hi everyone!! Brenda here with you today!! Did you see the 2018 Fall New Release?? Seriously good stuff!!
I have a card to share with you that I have been wanting to make for a long time. Ever since the Geometric Cirles Coverplate Die was released, I thought it would make a great gatefold card.
To begin, I started with the gatefold portion of the card. I die-cut the Geometric Cirles Coverplate Die from heavyweight white cardstock twice, slightly off-set on my cardstock panel, leaving a solid “tab” on each side. A few snips with the scissors and I had the perfect shape. Both of the die-cuts were scored on the “tabs” to allow a place to attach the dies to the back of the card. I coated the dies in Versamark Ink and heat embossed with the beautiful Rose Gold Embossing Powder. I repeated the process twice for a smooth finish. For the front panel of the card, I heat embossed the Tulip Bouquet florals in opposite corners of a panel of Bristol paper with the same Rose Gold Embossing Powder. The tulips were colored with Zigs and the panel was trimmed slightly. I also heat embossed the edges on the front of my A2 size note card with Rose Gold Embossing Powder and adhered the tulip panel to it.
The embossed coverplate panels were adhered to the back of the card with strong adhesive. I also placed a panel of white cardstock over the back of the note card to hide the “tabs” on the geometric dies. I threaded some white organza ribbon around the back of the card and through the coverplate die-cuts on the front and tied it into a pretty bow.
I left the inside of the card blank…I haven’t decided who I want to give it to, so I will stamp a sentiment inside when I figure that out. I think it would be the perfect wedding card!!
Thanks for stopping by today!! See you soon!!
So very pretty!!
