Birthday Daisies

Hi peeps! How are you doing this lovely weekend? I plan on spending some time just crafting. I better take advantage that my mojo is cooperating at the moment. Hah!

I think my mojo finally coming back, simply because I’ve been just playing around with watercolor. No pressure on myself. Just playing and trying out new mix. One of the card I made is this one using The Ton Coming Up Daisies set.

I stamped the daisies a couple times on a watercolor cardstock to fill out the surface. Then I just went to town and color them with various colors. I want to try out to see how the flowers will look like when I use two or three colors in one flower. Not an easy feat. I am still learning how to watercolor correctly, but hey, that didn’t stop me to keep playing & have fun with it. Practice makes perfect & I actually kind of dig the way they look.

I also added some ombre blue color to the background. For the sentiment I used Peony Laurel set. I love the look of the sentiment on this set. I am a firm believer that the font used on a sentiment can make or break a card. Having the right sentiment design is important.

Now, once it all dry, I adhere the card panel to the card base. To finish, I added some liquid enamel dots.

Well peeps, that’s all from me today & I hope you enjoy today’s card.  May your weekend be a fantastic one. Cheers….

Vera

It looks like you are having fun to me. What a happy card! Is there a wrong way to watercolor? Looks to me like you are making the media your own and isn’t that what it’s all about?
