Hello, everyone and welcome back! For today’s project, I have this vibrant Butterfly Wings (Gold Medallion sequins) thank you card with a surprise popup element inside.

I started off by heat embossing the wings and the butterfly body with our Rose Gold embossing powder. Then I watercolored the wings using Turquoise Color Bursts. Next I painted the areas surrounding the butterfly using a combination of several Color Bursts (Fuchsia, Tangerine and Orchid).

Once my painting has dried, I used the largest die from our Double Stitched Rectangle Die collection (Large) to add stitching to the edges of my A2 panel. Next I stamped my banner and sentiment from our Basic Banners set in our Bright Emerald Dye Ink.

Once I popped the banner onto my panel, I adhered the panel onto a side folding A2 base using some strong double sided adhesive.

Next I created my own gold foil cardstock and die cut the intricate popup butterfly wings. I also die cut some solid butterfly wings to add behind the intricate die cuts. For these pieces, I used mint cardstock.  Once I adhered the mint cardstock onto the gold wings, I added some  to the front of my card.
