Hi crafty friends!! Brenda, here!! I can’t believe that June is almost over!! We are half way through 2018!! Crazy!!!
I have been really into pink & yellow lately and couldn’t wait to ink up the beautiful Large Florals: Heritage Rose in these hues!!
I began by stamping the rose with Bleach Blondie, Soft Garnet, Red Sangria & Lipstick Red. Soft Garden, Bright Fern & Deep Emerald were layered for the leaves. The buds were stamped with Soft Garnet & Red Sangria with the stems in Bright Fern & Deep Emerald. Whew!!! Lots of layering creates so much dimension!! I cut all the images with the Large Florals: Heritage Rose Coordinating Dies and set them aside to work on the background.
The Geometric Circles Coverplate Die was cut from a pale yellow card stock, as was the background panel. These were layered up for a tone-on-tone background, which creates interest while keeping the focus on the stunning rose. The two largest of the Double Stitched Rectangle Dies (Large) were used to cut a frame, also from pale yellow cardstock, and adhered to the background panel with dimensional adhesive. All of the stamped images were also adhered with foam adhesive, for lots of dimension. The sentiment, from Beautiful Bettas, was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed in white onto a strip of pink cardstock. Lastly, a few sequins from the Sugar Cookie Couture Mix add a little shine!!!
That will do it for me today!! Thanks so much for stopping by!!! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!! Enjoy the last couple of days of June!!!
What a gorgeous flower!!
