Blooming Peony Hello

Hi peeps! How’s it going? Vera here today. I recently went on a trip to Portugal to meet with my family from Indonesia and I was away for about 10 days. I just came back, so I am still trying to get back into the swing of thing.

Making this card was literally my first time back in the craft room after the trip. It’s amazing that even a few days off can make me feel slightly rusty. But, hey, when you get to works with beautiful stamp it does help to get the mojo going.

I decided to play with Blooming Peony Garden Cling Background.

I stamped the image directly on the card panel using Hollywood Star. I did use Misti to do this so I can repeat the process a couple times as I really want to get the solid area covered well.

Once I am happy with the stamp result, I added shadow to the image using Copic markers. Light pink on the flower and light blue on the leaves. Then, I die cut the word “hello” using Bold General Greeting Word Plate Dies. Make sure you keep all the pieces as you could use them to make 2 cards that way. I just keep the pieces in a ziploc to keep them all together.

Before adhering the panel to the card base, I adhere Silver Adhesive Glitter Paper for border and on the area where the word hello is. I kind of just eyeing it and make sure my silver piece is big enough to cover the hello opening. Then simply adhere the panel and for extra oomph, I covered the whole panel with shimmer marker. Here’s a close up look that show the pretty shimmer on the card. On my computer screen, I feel like the shimmer does show,  but not as brilliant as on my I-phone. If you follow me on Instagram (my account is under the name wirianta), you could see the card in more close up & really see the shimmer.

Working with the large flower cling background set (and you know The Ton has a bunch of them) is great to do set a you can just stamp them in various colors and easily make a fun set of boom card. Well peeps, I hope you enjoy today’s post and that’s all from me for now. I’ll be back with more beauties on Monday, so stay tune! I wish you all a great Memorial Day weekend. Have a great day, y’all!
