Jigsaw Hearts & A Thank You

Hi peeps! How are y’all doing? Vera here today. Being in Texas I sure been enjoying the nice, spring weather. And, yes, with last Sunday time spring forward, all is well in my world. I love having more daylights. It makes me happy. And, my puppies enjoying it, too. They get to play on the backyard more.

Speaking about puppies…, I actually made 2 cards featuring puppies! I am a doggy lover at heart and when I saw the new Heart Jigsaw Dies (Stitched Version), I just know I want to mix it with Love & A Dog.

For this card, I first colored a cardstock panel with distress ink and flicked some water on it to create some pattern. Then I run the Heart Jigsaw dies over it and adhere to the card base. Then I stamped and die cut the dog and adhere to card with pop dots. Added a strip of patterned paper and stamped the sentiment from Perfect Fit Sentiment. Finished by adding Pink Sugar Sparkling Clear Sequin, Bermuda Blue Sequin and Glass Slipper Sequin.

On to the next card. This time I play with Heart Jigsaw Dies (Cut Version)  Same step, except this one I just colored the panel with one color. I feel like this second card has more modern feeling. Maybe because of the navy stripe on the bottom.

Now, since I was on a card making mode, I decided to switch direction & made a more serious looking card. Hah, whenever I do non cutesy or sweet card, I always call it serious looking card.

Besides dogs, I love birds. Well, really I love animal in general. Anyway, I wanted to play with The Ton Winter Cardinal  and its coordinating dies set? Well, I decided to color it with a bit more springy color. I added some shades to the bird with Copic and once I am happy with the coloring then I adhere the bird to the card base that I already covered with patterned paper.

I finished the card by stamping the thank you sentiment from Occasion Confetti set.

I know, I know, I am a bit all over the place with my cards for today’s post, but hey, that’s how I work. I just follow my gut and create however I feel. Even if the cards not related in theme, I still want to share it. 🙂

Well peeps, that’s all for today. 3 cards in 1 post is quite an achievement for me. Hope you enjoy the cards and thank you for stopping by here. Don’t forget we also have our March challenge going on and you have till the end of the month to play along. Check out the challenge detail and enter your project HERE.

Love the cards…My favorite is the solid color heart card with the love you puzzle piece. I live in Houston, Texas. I think it is so cool that you are apart of the design team and live in Texas!
