Hello, crafty friends! It’s Jenny here today to share a couple of happy cards using our new dies! I’m featuring our new beautiful Best Day Ever Floral Coverplate Die for the first card, and the Layered Wave Standalone Dies for the 2nd card. I’ve been hearing gloomy news lately, and wanted to create some happy cards to cheer me up! Hope these cards would cheer you up too! 🙂

Here’s the first card! I just LOVE this Best Day Ever Floral Coverplate Die! So easy to make a beautiful card with awesome cheerful message!

 

I started off by die cutting a panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock using the largest layer of the Large Double Stitched Rectangle Dies first and our new Best Day Ever Floral Coverplate die. Then, I ink blended the panel with Iris Bloom Dye, Coralline Hybrid, Bright Fern Dye, Soft Garden Dye, Valentine Red Dye, Caribbean Turquoise Dye, and Amber Citrine Dye ink to create happy rainbow colors.

Next, I adhered a panel of vellum on a black A2 card base to create a subtle background and adhered the die cut on top. I stamped and a sentiment from Coming Up Daisies stamp set on a black cardstock in Versamark ink and heat embossed in white. I cut it down to a thin banner and popped it up on the card. I added some highlights with white gel pen and finished the card by adding some Silver Holographic sequins.

Here’s the 2nd card! How cool is this Layered Wave Standalone Die?!!

To start off, I created the background by ink blending Bright Emerald Dye ink for the ocean and Amber Citrine Dye ink for the sun. I added a bit of interest with the largest die from the Large Double Stitched Rectangle Dies. Then, I die cut the waves layers with Bristol Smooth Cardstock, Silver Adhesive Glitter Paper, vellum, and and blue cardstock and adhered them on the card. I ink blended one of the layer with Bright Emerald Dye and Azurite Dye ink.

I stamped the sentiment from Get It Girl Stamp set in Noir Dye ink and finished the card by adding the Summer Skies Couture Mix and Clear Rhinestones.
