Daisies & Magnolias

Hi there lovely peeps. How’s it going? Vera here today to bring you some fun projects.

I am loving the sets from the recent release that I have made several projects for today. First up is a card using the fun & beautiful Fresh Cut Daisies, Fresh Cut Daisies Outline along with its matching dies.

To make this card, I start by stamping the mason jar and colored it with Copic. Then mask it and using Buildable Woodgrain set, stamp the woodgrain border  to ground the centerpiece. I have to say this is such a neat set & give real looking woodgrain look.

Next, I work on the flowers, the leaves and the burlap cover for the jar. After I stamped and die cut all the elements and before I adhere them to the card, I stamped a couple daisies from Fresh Cut Daisies Outline directly on the card panel in soft ink color as I just want to have a little background without being overwhelming or too busy.

Then I adhere & layer all the other element with pop dots to create depth. Finish by adding some Mint Sugar Couture Mix.

These daisies get me in the mood to play with flowers, so for my next card I combine old & new. For the background of the card, I used the new Polka Dot Cling Background and for the flower I reached for this gorgeous Magnificent Magnolias set from previous release.

I stamp & heat emboss the the polka dot background and then stamp the magnolia on a piece of watercolor cardstock and die cut it using the coordinating Magnificent Magnolias Dies and color them with Zig Kuretake Clean Color (available under The Ton Boutique).

These cards make me think of spring. Sigh… I love spring season and eagerly waiting for it. I hope you enjoy today’s cards. That’s all from me for now. May your Friday be a fun one. Cheers….
