Hello everyone! Lisa here and I’m popping in today to say Happy New Year! This is the last day of 2017 and tonight we’ll all be welcoming 2018. It’s out with the old and in with the new! Of course today I’d like to share a New Years card with you. Get ready, because we’re going to toss the 7 and hang that beautiful 8 in it’s rightful place.
For this card I used the following supplies from The Ton Shop:
- Scenes: Fireplace
- Fireplace Accessories stamps & coordinating dies
- City Girls Snow Day stamps & coordinating dies
- Sparklers Alpha stamps
- Basic Labels stamps
- Double Stitched Rectangles (Lg) dies
- Gold Adhesive Glitter Paper
- Inks: Caviar, Versamark clear
- Embossing powder: Ranger Clear, Ranger Gold
I stamped the 2018 above the fireplace using the Sparklers Alpha stamp set and The Ton’s Caviar ink, then embossed with clear embossing powder. I added some depth with a slight shadow around each number using a cool gray Copic Marker. Then a few elegant gold touches in the chandeliers from the Fireplace Accessories stamps and coordinating die sets. I also matted the card front using The Ton’s Gold Adhesive Glitter Paper.
To set the scene I made sure to toss the 7 aside! Adios 2017! I colored this young lady’s beautiful party dress with a bright red Copic marker so she would be a great supporting focal point to draw attention to the 2018.
