Christmas Cards – Silver&Blue

Hello, everyone! It’s Jenny here today and I’d like to share couple of holiday cards I created using Vintage Christmas Block stamp set and Christmas Sweater stamp from our November Release! These stamps are gorgeously designed and you could create beautiful cards without a lot of work! I kept my cards silver&blue, which is one of my favorite color combination for holiday cards.

Let me show you the first card!

I stamped the Christmas Sweater image and heat embossed in silver on a watercolor cardstock. Then, I sprinkled some Ultramarine Blue and Prussian Blue Color Burst powder and spritzed water to help the pigments to bloom out over the entire image. I repeated the process until I was happy with the result and dried the panel using the heat tool. I die cut the panel using the largest layer from our Large Double Stitched Square Dies.

On a white 5.25″ square card base, I adhered Glossy Fine Silver Adhesive paper to create the background and popped up the main panel on top using fun foam. I created the sentiment banner using our Basic Banner stamp set and the Basic Banner dies. I stamped the sentiment from our Holiday Add-On Mini stamp set in True Navy Dye ink. I placed silver thread on the card and popped up the sentiment banner over it using foam tape. I finished the card by adding some Silver Metallic sequins.

Here’s the 2nd card!

I started off by stamping the Vintage Christmas Block image on a smooth white cardstock in Cali Blue Dye, Deep Sapphire Dye, and True Navy Dye ink. I created a gradation look by applying ink colors on stamp using the sponge daubers. With the help of the MISTI tool, I repeated the process few times to achieve the look I was happy with. Then, I trimmed down the panel and heat embossed the edges with Silver Glitter embossing powder. I wrapped the silver thread around the panel and adhered fun foam on the back, ready to go on the card base.

Next, I smudged the edges of a white A2 card base with True Navy Dye ink pad to match the main panel. I adhered the Glossy Fine Silver Glitter Adhesive paper on a white carstock, trimmed it down, and adhered it on the card base. Then I adhered the main panel and completed the card by adding some Clear Rhinestones and Glass Slippers sequins.

These new stamps are beautiful and very versatile and I love the colours you have used with the bright and beautiful colourburst on the first and the pretty die inks on the second, and the added threads and gems on both are wonderful finishing touches. Fabulous cards Jenny. x
