Merry & Bright Pink

Hi everyone, Lisa here.  Can you believe it’s November already?  If you’re like me, you’re throwing your card making into high gear this month, to make sure your holiday cards are ready to pop in the mail by December.    Today I thought I’d stop by to share my latest Christmas card with you using a mix 5 of great stamps and 2 coordinating die sets from The Ton:

For this card I really wanted to make a card that combined traditional Christmas  colors (red and green) with non-traditional (pink).  I started out by stamping a beautiful berry branch stamp from  the Holiday Cones Outlines directly onto the front of a white card base.  I used 110 lb. Neenah Solar White cardstock because it is heavy enough to hold ink without it seeping through to the inside of the card.   I made sure to use The Ton’s Copic friendly Caviar Hybrid black ink to stamp the images on this card then colored them in with Copic Markers.

Setting the base aside for a moment, I stamped and colored a couple more images onto some 80 lb Neenah Solar White cardstock using Caviar Hybrid ink and Copic markers.  The Christmas tree surrounded by presents is from The Ton’s Holiday Ballet Stamp set and coordinating dies.  The girl decorating the tree is from the City Girls Snow Day stamp set and coordinating dies.   The little stars on her skirt were added, using a small stamp from the Holiday Ballet stamp set.  I glued both of these finished pieces together then added some dimensional tape on the back (but only on the top half).

I love this large, bold sentiment stamp from the Holiday Lyrics stamp set.  I stamped it off to the left side of the card front,  then clear embossed using The Ton’s Noir ink and Ranger Clear Embossing Powder to add some shine.  I stamped the Minor Stripes Cling Background stamp using The Ton’s Soft Orchid ink then cut a 1″ strip for the bottom of the card.  I adhered it using dimensional tape.

To finish up this card I just adhered the tree and girl and my favorite clear sequins from the Glass Slippers Couture Mix.  For a little extra sparkle I used a Clear Wink of Stella glitter pen on the tree ornaments and star.

Well that’s my card for today.  I hope you all are having a great time making those gorgeous holiday cards.  As long as you’re making them why don’t you try to win yourself a Christmas present to The Ton shop?  Does a $50 shopping spree sound like fun?    The Ton’s November’s Challenge theme just happens to be…….”Holiday”, woohoo!  You can enter as many times as you like!   Head on over to the Challenge Blog to find out more information on how to enter!
